What’s the most transformative thing that you can do for your brain today? Exercise! says neuroscientist Wendy Suzuki. Get inspired to go to the gym as Suzuki discusses the science of how working out boosts your mood and memory — and protects your brain against neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s.

Lady single handedly disproving the more brawn than brain myth for meatheads
The woman is so clever in making people fool. The critical things did not share with the audience.
its very strange that doing physical labor doesnt help, but ‘working out’ does. doesnt that mean i can just trick my brain somehow into the same thing seeing as the actual physicality seems to be irrelevant?
So the more I exercise the bigger my forehead gets?
I am suffering from long haulers. The brain fog caused more anxiety, poor memory, and lack of motivation. Softball season started in April and after the first practice felt much better. After a couple practices realized that over the winter the exercise disappeared. Have started working out with 10 pound weights and slowly feeling much better. Thanks for sharing.
Great vid ty
Watching and listening to her boosts my energy and makes me feel motivated to do the exercise for the hippocampus. 😊
all buff guys have high iq is true
I don’t exercise but am thinking about, I watched this to try to motivate myself.
I recently just had my Spiritual Awakening and upon searching about starseeds, I believe I am a Hybrid. I have a bit of some of the dominant traits among most of the starseeds.
my workouts consist of doing 3 squats and then getting distracted
I can imagine how powerful she is and motivated too..
shes crazy like my nanny who jumps for monthly salary and make everyone dance lol
Exercise helps to some extent but it’s not really the solution. When it comes to mind, there is only one way you can manage your mind: meditation. This is the most effective and extremely transformative than anything else you can think, and if you do yoga along with meditation it will be much more effective in managing the mind.
I think my prefrontal cortex is broken lol
Finally got nice dancing steps in ending video 👍🏾🤩🤩😂😂😂
I really love this speaker. I am inspired now! 💪😊

She’s amazing haha
OK, she convinced me : I need to stop skipping gym club time…
What a load of crap…multimillion spent in research to confirm "healthy body has healthy brains". What did our elders kept saying…wendy you don’t listen😀
Technically we don’t need that "deep understanding of neuroscience" to actually know that exercise helps. Just move your as out of sofa and do something…
she’s looks pretty after losing 25 lbs & would look even prettier by losing 10 more 🙂
The hesitant ruth superficially fail because pasta philly handle within a helpless account. steep, bent tornado
I have started working out really regularly for two weeks and emotionally I am in a much better state. I started it aiming fo a stronger mind, for greater determination (I could be a quitter) and simply to be a better person. I am feeling it and I agree it’s the good mood that drives me to exercise every day.
She looks amazing! Glowing.
Long lost relative of Richard Simmons! You go gurrl! 👏😂

In 2019, I suffered severe brain stroke during my workout in the gym. However, according to a neurological team it was my fitness that helped me to bounce back at almost 100% capacity. I haven’t stop training since. This video underscores what I have been and am experiencing … exercise is good for your brain.
Loving this!! Just ran about 10km, and just wanted to see how my brain is doing. Feeling like I can do literally anything, hiyaaaa

i started working out when i was 15. i’m turning 17 next month. feels good to be fit
Thank you mam
wow I absolutely loved this! I am wonder woman strong!!!!
I’m eating ice cream while watching this.
I often do a kind of workout that is a mix of aerobics, calisthenics, and choreography following symphonic metal music, Nightwish and Within Temptation being the best for my ears.
I’m all in for creating neurogenesis and one of my hobbies is practicing mental math calculations;
So now I will do my crazy dance while doing mental multiplications of 3 digit numbers. I am a weird guy, so mental calculations are fun for me.
So, my upgraded version of Wendy’s workout from 11:23 on will be with Nightwish/Within Temptation/The Hu music, I will do energetic choreographic moves following the music ( the aerobic party), at the same time I will contract and relax muscles (the calisthenics part) and I will scream all the steps of a mental multiplication of a 3 digit number by another 3 d. number, which is an extra addition to stimulate further the neurogenesis.
Yes, people who know me think I am a weird guy. But being a grandpa of a College student my BMI is 23, the same as when I was 18. I haven’t used any pharmaceutical products for over 40 years, I practice intermittent fasting and have my own organic veggie garden.
Anyone wanting to talk more about my lifestyle just go to the Community part of my YT page, this video will be linked there with this comment under it.
She is THE cutest and most entertaining professor I have ever seen! Bravo, Wendy! You rock! And so do I! thanks from my laughing heart!
