Really interesting thanks, just got my Indoor Trainer and have been looking for exactly this sort of review. Thank you

  4. Wurzle Cat on July 9, 2021 at 2:53 am

This list would be a lot more useful if it gave a full comparison of features and costs. As it is, Iโ€™m not much the wiser and would need to do a lot of investigating.

I prefer the computer graphics style simulators such as Zwift, or the promising RGT, and the hack for GTA5 over recorded video. Recorded video is set to match a frame rate of the original recording, so if you go too slow or too fast, it gets visually very weird.

I have a special training tire for my indoor setup (Wahoo KICKR Snap) but my tubes only last about 400 miles. Is there a special tube for indoor training?

  17. VOSSI on July 9, 2021 at 3:03 am

Wait we start with 1 now? A shame, this seems rather a random list than a top 5. Was hoping for some objective critical reviews.. This doesn’t help at all.

  26. Steve B on July 9, 2021 at 3:14 am

Just stay cycling in the woods, no one will see you there!!!

  27. bobski36 on July 9, 2021 at 3:16 am

I ride Zwift a bunch, but Fulgaz is the best.

  28. Alper K. on July 9, 2021 at 3:17 am

There are so many improvement points which is good for developers but sad for users :/
I am imagining being in a real race and being able to change the total race speed based on my fitness level. Also the graphichs really needs to be better for sure. Also the game should give me tips, based on my performance and do a quick question session supported with AI for recoveries.

  29. AS SEEN BY SB on July 9, 2021 at 3:19 am

    excellent stuff as always ๐Ÿ™‚
can I kindly ask you guys to also try and go into hand-cycling maybe?
there’re plenty of guys with different disabilities who practice hand-cycling and I’m sure you’ll also find it interesting to explore yourselves ๐Ÿ˜‰

cheers and keep up the good work ๐Ÿ˜‰

  31. Mark Meredith on July 9, 2021 at 3:26 am

I would add FulGaz to that list. As far as augmented reality training goes, I was more impressed with it over Rouvy.

  33. pwcorgi2000 on July 9, 2021 at 3:29 am

I would like to use a virtual road app lkinda ike the latter, but not for training. Just casual, so that using an exercise bike doesn’t get boring. Do I need a particular stationary excercise bike? Thank You.

  36. Sapphelia on July 9, 2021 at 3:34 am

50 something and taking up cycling again having not ridden for 30 years. No intention of embarrassing myself outdoors yet till a few pounds have been shed so looking for some advice on indoor training apps for unfit and out of condition mere mortals. I have a bike hooked up to a dumb trainer with a wahoo speed and cadence sensor attached to turn it into a smart trainer…any advice for which app would best suit someone like me..thank you.
