New research led by Prof. Eran Segals and Dr. Elinavs research unit indicates a drastic change in blood sugar levels between two individuals on identical diets – this may explain why some struggle to lose weight while others, on the same diet, stay lean and fit. The scientists even developed an algorithm that can calculate ones blood level based on his or her biology and lifestyle.

You must get best food. Best food came from halal food. What is halal, it is the food you get it from honourable means. Your money you earn to pay for a living, the money you pay for your food, the house where you stay where you realise you stress must be halal. The differences in reaction on carbs/sugar products are, in my opinion, due to insuline resistance, which most people in the usa (and a lots of other parts in the world) have. So ofcourse everyone reactie different on these foods. The "quality" per food/kcal is what makes your body healthy. I strongly believe in nutriënt dense food as a basis, like red meat, organs.. basicly primarily animal based foods, avoid as much as toxins and processed foods with refined sugars, seed oils.. and secondarilly eat fruits..
Also, if its your birthday, relax enjoy the cake. Having that mentale stress of not eating the cake, might be worse than the food you’re willing to eat on that special occasion.

Dogmatic science is also very dangerous. Here, for instance, Prof. Eran Segal does not consider the fact that the bacteria in one person changes within three days, depending on the food consumed, the things the person touches during the day and the people the person lives/interacts with. Therefore, an AI algorithm’s advise may be ideal for one day and become detrimental three days later. The good news is that our organism has marvelous and complex ways to self balancing, unless we really hammer it down with addiction to destructive habits.

I wonder if frequency was controlled for. Such as if one was eating 3 meals a day vs 5 meals a day or if one was mimicking intermitting fasting windows and others had their meals spread out throughout the day not allowing your insulin levels to regulate etc…

This is why I found my body works best on the carnivore diet. My body has always just run best on pure meat since I’m very ambitious and driven like a Lion. Good to always learn about one’s self.

50 meals a week!!?? I am a 68 yr old male. Gone keto and Intermittent fasting. Lost 52 lbs in 3 months to ideal weight for 5 foot 10 inch height. No longer diabetic, high blood pressure, prostate issues, acid reflux. Got off the worst medication ever , statins. And the mental clarity is off the charts! One meal a day, never hungry, Vinegar, lemon juice and olive oil morning. That’s it. Energy off the charts! Fired doctors. Gut is excellent. People, you do not need that much food! Matter of fact, the less you eat, the better you will feel.

Is there a program available to the public yet based on these findings using these methods? I took a look at personalized nutrition services online that do similar things and they all either don’t take one of the variables into account that were utilized here, or they are $100 a month and require frequent stool and blood samples. They tailor the individuals’ diets along the way based on what they observe in the blood glucose levels and changes in the gut biome, but I don’t have that kind of money.
thanks to the internet, i have learnt exactly what i need to live after spending 1 year studying nutrition. spending 11 years in school learning basic communication skills and flawed math skills was obviously not a good career move.
The sweeteners need to be classified properly or your conclusion is flawed and incomplete. Sugar Alcohols can affect the microbiome directly and this fact is used in modalities treating things like circulating ammonium levels (Lactulose for Hepatic Encephalopathy). Sweeteners like Aspartame are made from common amino acids and never reach the portion of the gut hosting the microbiome. Sweeteners of the sort as Acesulfame-k and Saccarides can only affect the biome INDIRECTLY by causing a neurological effect or by stimulating the pancreatic nerves in the duodenum. So, has this been accounted for?

No one knows, opinions vary, and everyone is different and have different needs.
i dont agree with that cuz high blood glucose is not bad that is essential for our metabolism and good diet can be exist simply by reducing particular substances in our meals, selecting food carefully and exercise everyday to burn calories. there is no best diet that is true there is hard work to be done.
