20-minute Indoor Walking Workout for Seniors, Beginner Exercisers

20-minute Indoor Walking Workout for Seniors, Beginner Exercisers

This 20-minute indoor walking workout will help improve your cardiovascular health by getting your heart rate up with exercises that work your entire body including your legs, glutes, core, and upper body. Perfect for seniors and beginner exercisers. There are about 2400 steps in this video.

Marching or walking in place is the foundation for this workout. Fun dance moves mix things up. These exercises will also work on your balance and coordination, which is important to prevent falls, the leading cause of fatal and non-fatal injuries among seniors.

When you are doing the heel touch movement, how do you make your arms go up and down twice as fast as your feet? I get all tangled up when I try to do that.

Thank you so very much for this video. I wanted an exercise program I can do to get my body in shape without having those vigorous exercises they offer at the gym. This is exactly what I’m looking for. I’m hoping to stick with it for the long haul. Again, thank you!!

  34. Melita Raposas on February 6, 2023 at 7:23 am

  36. NCCR "Church Unusual" on February 6, 2023 at 7:25 am

Awesome gentle exercise. I had a great routine with weights 15 months ago, but Co -19 messed me up pretty bad. Now, most routines pull my back or shoulder or are just too long. Thot I’d try to do 15- 20 min a day just to get a daily routine that won’t injure….

  37. Maggie too on February 6, 2023 at 7:26 am

Hi girls. Really lovely to watch you two n to follow the exercises. Just turned 60 yo and hv bn very very lazy till now. Hope i will persevere with most of your exercises. I’ve always been very active but have developed an autoimmune disease that makes it hard for me to do a lot of activity without a lot of pain and extreme exhaustion. I am soooo happy I found your video today! I’m in my early 50’s, so this is good for all ages that need a more gentle workout. I was able to do the whole workout and sweat a little which is awesome! Thank you sooo much!
