How many pounds are those dumbbells you used? What do you recommend?

  9. jingly jones on July 16, 2022 at 2:55 am

realise this is quite an old vid now, but can anyone give some rough advise on the weight ratios we should be using? The actual number is kinda individual of course, EG: if you use 10kg dumbells for Bicep Curls, should we use something like 15kg for Lying Fly? Some guidelines like this would be a big help.

  49. Kevin Fockedey on July 16, 2022 at 3:39 am

How many times for a real beginner? I have 5kg’s on each side and sometimes i can’t finish completely with that weight so i pushed myself and have pain for 4days now and almost can’t move my right arm to my nose. Today is going good with not much pain

  50. Nigel Goodwin on July 16, 2022 at 3:39 am

67 years old here, following a heart attack and open heart surgery, then 3 weeks in ICU I lost all my muscle mass. I did 6 weeks rehab at the hospital, followed by 12 weeks (twice a week) referral at a local leisure centre. I’ve continuing going twice a week (and paying for it myself), but have now started adding this dumbbell workout at home as well. Currently Monday and Friday at the leisure centre, then an extra dumbbell workout from here on a Wednesday. I’m only managing a mix of 3Kg and 2Kg weights at the moment (start with 3, then drop to 2 when it gets too much), it’s a nice straightforward workout, and doesn’t need much room – I can’t do the Spiderman Crunches though, so I do another set of bicep curls. Nice easy to follow video, and I highly recommend it.
