Kimpton in Savannah has a secret arrangement with a nearby gym that is fully stocked. You have to ask at the front desk; the hotel gym itself is weak.
5 is 29.
Brian going to try it tomorrow
Love the great content, Brian! Thanks a lot for sharing.
If you are going to be in Boulder, CO – Boulder Lifting. It is a phenomenal spot, 24/7 key code access, powerlifting/strongman gym, blast your own tunes and get those effen’ GAINZ.
Bulgarian split squats with dumbbells are a pretty good way to feel some intensity with light weight. I train these even when I don’t travel just so I can follow my program whenever I’m on the road.
I tried squatting with dumbbells on a cruise and it didn’t end well. Just sayin’… Ideas for what to do on a cruise?
Most creative thing I’ve had to do while traveling was use a good friend of mine as weights lol. I wound up knocking out some good mornings with them in place of deadlifts
I’m not waiting for a hotel gym to do these work outs, I’m doing them in my basement gym!!! Awesome ideas!!!
Crown Plaza on Broadway in Times Square NYC. NYC Sports Club on the 15th floor. Solid.
Marriott downtown DC & Marriott White Plains NY both have squat racks, Oly bars and plenty of 45lb plates
Ok I don’t think I need to do a workout now. I am exhausted from watching you talk a 90 miles an hour. Whew thanks
The Sheraton at Times Square has been the best hotel gym I’ve seen
Double Tree Hyannis MA. Has a full gym I actually had a membership there as my main gym for a year, but it is included when you rent a room.
I’m a member of Anytime Fitness in Australia. AF apparently has gyms around the world so a member can use a great gym anywhere Anytime. I’ve yet to try it overseas.
The Hilton Berlin (yes Germany) has oly weights and a smith machine. Also cables and a few ergs. Then the Luitpoldpark-Hotel in Fussen Germany has an actual gym attached to it that is a separate entity that the hotel barters with so the guests have access.
Great Video 👍🏿 Loved it
Man makers are beast !!
Brian, why is your deck of cards just a whole bunch of self-portraits?
These are some great workouts. I travel for work and have a hard time taking a week off from my normal program and then trying to figure out what I’m going to get done in the crappy hotel gym. I usually end up in the gym without much of a plan and just do a higher volume push/pull/legs bro session.
So people know: if you are a member at the YMCA, almost all are linked in the "Nationwide" system. 15 visits per month at any Y across the country
This was useful and perfect timing. I was in Austria last week, and while the hotel was nice the gym sucked. Video helped a ton
Awesome video Brian. If anyone has to spend time in Livonia Michigan (just outside Detroit, business/office parks galore) the Schoolcraft College has a great gym for $5/day drop in. It’s within a mile of many of the hotels so walking is an option. I went between 4:45 and 5:15 and it wasn’t busy at all.
AMazing video as always. You’re the best Brian. Since i discovered your channel i learn a ton of stuff. Thank you!
Sorry didn’t mean to get political here, but Brian , really appreciate that you put up the flag of my country, Taiwan in your gym 5:42. This is a flag from a democratic country that UN dare not hang in their hall, nor Olympic dare to show it in the Olympic games, due to constant messed-up oppressions from China. Thank you. Greetings from Taiwan =)
Just finished the dumbbell complexes….boy did it kick my ass.
Thanks for the awesome workouts Brian!
Anyone know of some good gyms in San Diego?
These are amazing conditioning workouts. They’ll drain you pretty quickly, and they don’t do much for strength unless you’re a beginner, but they’re great for when you just want to get a workout in without aiming for a specific goal
Eat Reps like they are skittles!!!
These sound amazing and horrible at the same time, can’t wait to give them a try. By the way the music and the sound of the sledge hitting the tire was a bad ass intro.
I travel every week, have for years, and from a hotel standpoint I try to stick to Home2. They are always clean, they all have the same equipment, and their rooms and beds are excellent!
With that said I have learned to search for local gyms more and more. I have found that the vast majority have day/weekly rates that are very reasonable. Like the MetroFlex in Tyler, TX – $5 a day and has almost everything you could want. Gym One in Austin, TX is $20 a day / $40 a week and is amazing! Chattanooga Functional Fitness is another great one too (may be my home gym as well…lol). I have found local spots from Birmingham to Vegas and this has been able to keep me much more focused on my training even with the amount of travel I do.
Plus you are supporting a local business and gym owner!!
The Galmont – Radisson blue hotel in Galway Irland
Several of the hotels I have stayed at for work have business partnerships with local gyms. Call and ask before you make your reservation.
What about carrying a suspension trainer or rings with you when traveling?
Edit: marriot hotel in praque. Got BB, DB and KB, pullup bar etc
A few of these I will use on my next trip. Hotel gyms are crap.
Are you saying invertabro? Lol 😂
Thanks Brian for great content , Royalton St Lucia is pretty good for hotel gym and El Dorado seaside suites ( Sensimar Seaside suites) in Mexico
El Panama Hotel, Panama City. Very decent gym with a good set of dumbbells and benches, plus other machines.
Neversate playing cards!
My plan is usually just to bring bands. Bands are the best for travel. You can do all the things with bands. Invest in some good bands. Bands.
How tall are you brian?
In Golden, British Columbia, Canada, there is a Ramada hotel off the main highway that goes through town that has an awesome gym. Squat racks, benches, bars and even some good machines if you are in to that. Dumbbells and a couple grip implements too.
The Crowne Plaza in Times Square is in the same building as a New York Sports Club and if you stay there, you get to use the gym. They have just about anything you need for a great workout. Thanks, Brian!
Well Brian, did workout #1. And let me tell you and the folk out there lungs burning after first 3 minutes of squats! Overnighted in bowling green Ohio, and the best western across from the stadium has all the stuff that you described. DB 5-50 lbs. a cable machine, flat bench, medicine balls etc. Hope this finds everyone well and killed at the classic over the weekend. Cheers
Hotel Babylon if you’re staying in den Haag. They have tie-up with the gym in the mall next door and it’s actually better than the gold’s gym I normally go to
0:04 Buff John Wick, don’t touch his dogs
did you ever think about doing an ebook
Way to go on this vid!
Have you tried the "devil press" it is also a soul taking dumbbell combo just like the man makers.
Also, when I travel what I normally do are huge chippers like:
300 air squats
200 push ups
150 pistol squats
100 singe arm push ups
perfect timing – thanks Brian we are going on holiday on Sunday Yaah!
