Personally I don’t think there’s any issue with eating fruits. Maybe not in the beginning where your body is super thirsty for sugar, but once you clean your gut and liver, there’s gotta be space for whole fruits and the fiber that accompanies the fructose. A healthy liver on a healthy diet with exercise gotta be able to deal with fruits I feel….
All the other fructose, not accompanied by the fiber and nutrients in fruit is different.

I love how nice is your teeth 😊

  4. Andrew H on May 6, 2023 at 12:03 pm

What kind of protein powder can you use then? I make my own protein balls and use either whey protein ( which I thought was the healthiest one) or other protein powders which I didn’t realise contain isolates

  5. Jenny S on May 6, 2023 at 12:04 pm

I’ve heard over and over again that certain fruits like blueberries, grapefruit, lemons, grapes are beneficial for the liver and erythritol is freaking toxic!!

  6. b ks on May 6, 2023 at 12:05 pm

Note to self: Stop thinking of protein powder as edible.

  7. Ruby Little on May 6, 2023 at 12:06 pm

What’s wrong with corn, exactly ?

  11. Christine McCoy on May 6, 2023 at 12:10 pm

Good, things I don’t eat anyway.

  12. chev39rsh on May 6, 2023 at 12:11 pm

MSG is 1/3 less sodium than salt. so how is that worse than salt ? Wouldn’t that mean it’s safer than salt? So what if it is in tasteless foods, that is the point of spicing food, to add flavor. Why is alcohol not on this list ?

  13. motomyrtle on May 6, 2023 at 12:11 pm

Under the right conditions a person could essentially grow a completely new liver in a year. Your liver isn’t a stagnant blob. It’s constantly working, growing, purging. Besides stopping Tylenol and alcohol, the best thing you can do for your liver is stop eating sugar and eat real, clean, minimally processed foods.

  14. james brill on May 6, 2023 at 12:11 pm

    peanut oil?

  15. Ever Green on May 6, 2023 at 12:12 pm

Hi Dr Eric this is really an eye opener list. Is a natural peanut butter with no palm oil OK to consume has it got that alfotoxin?

  16. Mary on May 6, 2023 at 12:14 pm

Sick to your cultural food. Your not supposed to be eating everything.
If your Irish eat Irish food
    American eat American food
    Asian eat Asian food
Your only supposed to eat what you are!

  17. Peggy Buetow on May 6, 2023 at 12:16 pm

  20. Victor W on May 6, 2023 at 12:20 pm

Cold-pressed rapeseed oil? Olive oil? Avocado oil? Hemp oil? Coconut oil?

Why weren’t any of these mentioned?

Anyone know if they are in the same category as vegetable oils?

  21. ggvideonow1 on May 6, 2023 at 12:23 pm

If you eat outside, everything in that list is there. How we survived and our life span keeps increasing? Key seems moderation and variety. Those folks Dr Berg mentioned used that diet are in non-moderation and non-variety regime by default. Cook at home using non processed ingredients. Be traditional, no desert, no snack. Have friends, family, sport, Dr, God and make peace with death, your eternal companion.

  22. William Phillips on May 6, 2023 at 12:24 pm

Doctor, please tell us exactly what YOU eat on a daily basis.

  26. D Moore on May 6, 2023 at 12:28 pm

I like your videos Dr. but you are WRONG on this one, so you may want to clarify. Tera’s whey protein does NOT contain any bad fillers. It’s all natural and organic. You CAN buy Whey protein that is good for you. Just sayin.

  27. maralyn rigby on May 6, 2023 at 12:28 pm

I went into a health store the other day, I looked around and noticed how unhealthy and tired everyone in there looked…I then went into the cake shop next door and everyone looked so robust, rosy and jolly…people were dashing in and out, laughing and chatting and EATING éclairs and raspberry buns and enjoying life to the full…😅

GREAT JOB YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER💯👏

  29. BobbyDuke on May 6, 2023 at 12:30 pm

keto is all about quality fats added to the diet so low fat is not keto right off the bat.

  30. James Barratt on May 6, 2023 at 12:30 pm

If you watch more then 3 of this guys video you will realize that the ONLY food you can eat is organic lettuce(from the US only) and the only think you can drink is warm water.

  33. Mark Anderson on May 6, 2023 at 12:34 pm

Soy protein isolates, fructose, vegetable fats (corn, canola, soy bean, cottonseed)(saturated fats are good ) whey protein powder,
Maltodexrin(hidden in vitamins, bad sugar) aflatoxins found in peanuts and corn)(eat organic Valencia peanuts and peanut butter), MSG (enhances flavor)(bad for liver).

  34. Yarlky McFirblatherington on May 6, 2023 at 12:35 pm

Being obese should be avoided! How many Americans are disgustingly obese? Don’t be glutinous, greedy, self gratifying and idle. Stop watching brain washing food advertising. You are what you eat…a big jar of cookie dough!

  35. Joan Black on May 6, 2023 at 12:38 pm

So how much fructose is too much.? I’m on a low-carb Paleo type diet and I drink no alcohol. But I do have, on most days, 3 apples a day. That’s the only fruit I eat. Is that too much fructose?
    Thank you!

  36. Paul L on May 6, 2023 at 12:40 pm

Not sure if some of these are US-specific (as I’m aware that food standards are far lower than the UK), but maltodextrin isn’t present in the whey protein powder that I have at all. Also our Mcdonalds don’t use MSG/Mono Sodium Glutamate.

  37. Peggy Ferder on May 6, 2023 at 12:41 pm

Soy protein isolate is man made chemical similar to gasoline

  38. Kell Combs on May 6, 2023 at 12:42 pm

    Can’t eat anything in America

  39. Bort Hill on May 6, 2023 at 12:43 pm

Sorry liver, protein powder isn’t going anywhere.

  40. Jma Tasomo on May 6, 2023 at 12:44 pm

Dr Berg offers great advice and has helped heaps with general health, a good tip is to not eat any food which has numbers listed as ingredients and your Doctors visits will become very rare.

  41. M Z on May 6, 2023 at 12:48 pm

Always reed the lable on what you put in your body.. Great advice and important.. Thank you kindly for the education Take care and be safe everyone 💕✌️😊

  43. WhiteFlame on May 6, 2023 at 12:50 pm

Hm…I am not convinced that Anti-GMO and Anti-MSG bias is completely deserved. I am sure you mean well, but I see some hole and contradictions around this part…I mean other sourses also mean well and they think both of those are fine (which still does not mean you should eat lots of MSG, which you definitely should not). And I can’t say either of you are right or wrong, there is just no concrete proof of either sides.

I check all those " keto" bars. Very few of them live up to the title. I wonder if the companies can be taken to court.

  46. Sauce on May 6, 2023 at 12:54 pm

  47. Ru So on May 6, 2023 at 12:55 pm

Doc, can you make a list of diet for fatty liver to what eat instead of what not to eat ?

  48. Rachelle Provencal on May 6, 2023 at 12:56 pm

    What about *undenatured* whey protein?

  49. Samuel H Mullins on May 6, 2023 at 12:56 pm

I am least skeptical about natural foods, and reserve biggest doubts against Poisonous Agricultures: cultivation, harvesting, processing, and shipping. Shipping’s publicized concern has focused upon cross-contamination pertinent to optimal store shelf expirations; but I expect scarier details are forthcoming. Bucket gardening looks desperately maneuvered and some like myself conspicuously entrapped behalf international traders, aka lobbyists’ middlemen.

All of it looks typically customized for reproducing grabby insider stinginess. An open carry magnifying glass around ingredient labels has teacher-assisted my defensive adaptation curriculum. Regardless of America’s historic king cotton boasts, them, chemistry-set foresters, and other industries too have not only cursed our soils, but fresh drinkable water also. I think Presidential Jill Stein could un-constipate our slow bowels of progress. Cultivating liberty does not require criminal incompetence; does it? Are any rich 1 percenters brave for reply-dialogue debate?; because here I am ever since Vietnam

What do you know about coconut oil? Is this considered a veggie oil?
