I really hate that Dr. OZ is so touchy with his female guests. He’s holding that woman’s hand for dear life…and when she pulls away he rubs her back lol He’s like this with EVERY female guest.
I have been following keto for ten months I have lost sixty pounds. The focus should be on sugar or taking it away. bWe all have too much of it in our diets and our inflammatory response to it makes us stay sick and fat. Weaning of sugar is a bit hard, even some sleepless nights, but after about two weeks sleeping is easier, and aches and pains start going away as the body heals. And as far as a cheat meal, go ahead like I do modestly once a Month. It knocks my body off Ketosis for about four days but if it’s worth it like having some birthday cake or bread it might be worth it. It has been a life saver for me as I have Lupus, Rheumatoid issues and Heart issues. I hope this helps someone. Oh yes,

Boring! Duplicated the same things in 2 of the 3 meals. What about day 2 or week two. Too restrictive but it is simple which is a positive
This is the Atkins diet, just renamed. I would REALLY like to know what their cholesterol levels are and degree of atherosclerosis is. This throws you into ketosis. While you can lose weight, what else is it doing to your body.

keto diet is overhyped. i have read somewhere that its not really a good thing for you body, my doctor is against it also, he recommended agoge diet to me and it helped me lose weight and just feel better in anyway possible

Raw fruit, lots of fresh coconuts, and occasional meat days had me super lean and energetic in my late twenties. We called it "Instincto" = following our senses, but only choosing from whole, raw foods that were not mixed, cooked, juiced etc. Send petty balances with nature. I’d like to do that again

Hey you guys !! Idk if this happened to you guys but I always want desserts. After I switched to Keto it was hard finding good and healthy snacks butt I did come across this recipe book which set me up for success:) hopefully it will do the same for you
Thank you. My question is regarding energy needs. What this gentleman said he eats could barely be 1200 calories a day. How can anyone let alone a grown male athlete live on that? Our basal metabolic rate is going to be at least 1700 for an active grown man and that doesn’t even factor in any calories burned during activity. I simply do not believe this is all a grown man would eat during a normal day. I believe there is misrepresentation taking place here. Oh and by the way…no everyone doesn’t love bacon. It’s full of saturated fats that clog arteries. Isn’t that nutrition 101?

I’m a 51 year old female started a strict keto diet , weighed myself again today gained another pound but the keto test strip says I’m at 180 top keto in urine so why no fat and weight loss?
I may need to try it. I never had trouble losing and maintaining weight before. I typically don’t have a lot of fast carbs, but now it’s a problem. Even with doing at least 5 hours of cardio a week, I’m still technically overweight. Only other thing is just counting calories. That works. I don’t mind it, but my blood pressure has been high and counting calories doesn’t help that. I have to find a good keto guide though.
I believe Dr Oz is right. Keto diet in the long run won’t do good. I am more with mediterranean diet. It makes more sense and scientifically proven. Keto diet is not!!!!! it may help in short term to healing or temporary for some treatments not a permanent daily thing to do. I strongly believe in intermittent fasting combine with mediterranean diet or just eat any healthy food and listen carefully to your body. Just make it simple, no strict rules and no stress
If you say it’s not sustainable because you might slip up that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s not sustainable. It might just mean you had a slip up. But you can jump right back on. It’s so amazing to read the comments and hear people stories about how this has been a blessing for them. I wish more doctors understood this and help their patients to become educated as well
Every time I see someone talk about keto, they make it seem like it’s ALL meat and fat and it’s bad for you. I don’t think that’s true at all, at least not for me. I’ve been keto for 2 years now and I have a big salad almost every day. You have to get your veggies in. I eat a lot of kale, spinach and lettuce. Eating fresh meat and vegetables is great for your body. I lost 60 lbs, went from eating a McDonald’s burger and fries to eating fresh meat and vegetables. Pretty sure that’s a no brainer.
