    The 500 calories of lettuce would be almost completely nutritionally useless UNTIL you added the 500 calories of olive oil, which would be infinitely healthier for you to consume in the first place.

    Do not agree with this guy, how long does he think that a normal person can continue most of the things he suggested. Two tablespoons of oil on your salad will not cause weight gain that much. He is the person that offers such a boring way to eat that no one will stay the course. If he eats so much of the food he points out let me see him in 15-20 years or less because he will become bored of eating that way and will change. Here are my two cents on why we gain weight, the food that the masses eat is foods that are tampered with and it encourages us to eat more than we should. Snacking is very bad for us as it makes us addicted to whatever we snack on. The hard way is to eat clean, have it in moderation, and cut out snacking. Very hard unless the majority of people adopt this method.

    Plant based diet did a number on my digestive system, not to mention I was hungry all the time! Now I just eat whole foods, nothing processed, and get my fats from their natural sources (🥑🫒 🥚). I also eat only twice a day: a late breakfast and then dinner. I stop eating at 7:PM. Sugar on rare occasion (usually a birthday party). Coffee, water, decaf green tea, red wine. Never hungry! 👌

    Yes, everyone knows that cheese caked in metal pipes is exactly like cheese getting stuck in your arteries. 🙄 Plant based diets are frequently nutrient deficient and filled with processed gmo soy and processed wheat. Also vegetable oils, which are very bad for you. Red meat and fat, and low carbs is best for nutrition and health.

    I lost weight because I took out sugar,meat, eat only chicken and fish and walking 5 miles a day no high blood pressure any more no high cholesterol suger levels normal breakfast I eat steel cut oats gluten free any one can do it trust me it works stay away from restaurant food fast food is the worst be kind to your body you deserve it.

    When it comes to eating healthy, you have to never fall victim to modern day fad diet plans. Extreme diets undoubtedly are a danger for your health, especially ones that seriously limit your every day nutritional intake. Many of these fad diets work for a short time period and then the benefits decrease after a while.     Yikes! I gotta have my cheese, and yogurt, heavy cream, whatever. But have not had meat, fish, or eggs since 1969. Im still a cross-country truck driver at age 71. I do have to have my big salads, as many days as I can find them out here, though!
