I had hernia surgery in January and could not do anything except walk for 6 weeks. My appetite decreased a bit, but my body composition showed no signs of regress. I laid the foundation by working out at home steadily throughout the pandemic. I built some really dense muscle and it stuck even when I had to take the time off.

Downsides of muscle gains
I love deadlifts, but my glutes are hyper responders and are huge now. Also pants never fit right. Waist is too big or crotch area is too tight due to the big ass.

This is such an unbelievably good channel, I am shocked video after video by how much knowledge I walk away with.
When I hear "fat into muscle" I never actually thought literally turning fat into muscle I always imagined using your extra energy and having that exchanged into muscle. Like how money turns into a car.
Read some evidence on plant protein too so you don’t spread myths 😉
