When commercial entities fund studies it’s more for marketing purposes than science. That doesn’t necessarily mean the findings are invalid, but you do have to pay special attention to things like the framing of the research question, the experimental methods, statistical analysis, and biased interpretation of results (spin).

Hi, Will you get the same benefits, and is it really safe to eat non-organic grapes? I’ve heard that they’re one of the fruits that get sprayed highly with chemicals.

  3. Per Karmblad on June 28, 2022 at 1:33 am

The two brains in the comparison at the end look exactly the same except for the red dots. Isn’t it supposed to be a comparison of two individuals?

  4. Dumblejew on June 28, 2022 at 1:35 am

What’s this guys deal against anything that isn’t a whole food?
Jesus Christ, not everything you eat needs to be a whole food.
A couple of cups of pure grape juice is good for you.

Could you redo your audiobook for How Not to Die? The way you talk is like being a passenger with someone who doesn’t know how to drive stick.

Dr. Greger is the best 🙂

  9. nb9797 on June 28, 2022 at 1:41 am

Very interesting… although raises an ethical question for me. They had the placebo group eat no potentially beneficial grapes allowing their Alzheimer’s to worsen? Pretty tough on the placebo group.

  10. Doug bananaboy on June 28, 2022 at 1:41 am

Steak and black grapes for dessert and your good ?

  11. Lucky Hanger 13 on June 28, 2022 at 1:44 am

    Thank you Dr. Greger!

I recently became addicted to Concord grape juice, and was just wondering what’s the long term health effects.

VIDEO SUGGESTION: is it correct that you never made a video about lecithin(s)? as I understand it’s benefitial for lipid metabolism, e.g. VLDL level and prevention of fatty liver disease and plays a role for any cell membran formation and function, including e.g. neurons, but also is relevant for mitochondrial biogenesis. What’s your view on this? By the way, the reason I stumbled upon this topic is that I was just wondering how I can emulsify flax seed oil to sneak some more into certain meals, which is why I thought about using soy lecithin.

Excellent Video! Excuse me for chiming in, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you ever tried – Yeyandon Hardgaining Transformer (search on google)? It is a good one off product for learning how to go from skinny to packing on muscle minus the headache. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my work buddy after many years got excellent success with it.

  18. johnygogo on June 28, 2022 at 1:49 am

I don’t eat grapes but drink it in wine form. I do it for the benefits and not the hangover, I dread hangovers but do it for the grape love juice!

  19. Gehres Weed on June 28, 2022 at 1:50 am

what about raisins or better yet red wine?

  20. whitecreek on June 28, 2022 at 1:51 am

Does It make any difference, for the purpose of the video, to have the grapes with or without the seeds? Thx.

  21. Zanahoria Love on June 28, 2022 at 1:54 am

Are dried grapes "actual grapes"? Buying them dried in the winter months would make shopping more sustainable as fresh grapes have to be imported from far away during winter

  22. Steven Vachon on June 28, 2022 at 1:56 am

    🍇Great grape debate 🍇

  23. qpgtyui1 on June 28, 2022 at 1:56 am

Really liking the videos, but could you please lower the volume of the intro ? it’s much louder than the actual sound of Dr. Greger…

Great Video! Sorry for chiming in, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you heard the talk about – Elliecan Shreddify Pack (search on google)? It is a great exclusive guide for losing weight and getting shredded fast without the normal expense. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my friend at very last got astronomical results with it.

  33. Joe Canova on June 28, 2022 at 2:07 am

I just saw this article in the BBC. I think the hardest thing for me is to know I’m getting what I need to out of a diet. I tried eating plant based for a couple of days and felt brain fog.

  34. James S on June 28, 2022 at 2:08 am

    It’s the sugar, obviously

  35. De Cu on June 28, 2022 at 2:09 am

Hi! Is there a cure for Rosacea, or evidence that a whole plant food based diet helps? ☺️

Thank Dr Greger!! I wonder if this effect is just grapes or would occur with any whole fruit?

  38. KinaStar on June 28, 2022 at 2:14 am

this study was very complex but I liked how Dr Greger tried to stick to the point without wandering off the essential lesson of it all.

  39. KinaStar on June 28, 2022 at 2:16 am

same benefits with regular-ordinary grapes? or only organic ones?

  40. Cassi on June 28, 2022 at 2:16 am

Had a big bowl of grapes with as a cooking my breakfast 🍇

  41. charathcutestory on June 28, 2022 at 2:17 am

Grapes are one of the worst foods there are for your hormonal health. They are full of sugar and spike your insulin like mad. They also flood the liver with fructose. This Doctor is wrong, grapes should be consumed in moderation

  42. Isaac Alva on June 28, 2022 at 2:19 am

Can you speak without soooo many variations of tone and vowel dragging?
You are a professional why not have a better pronunciation?
    Your channel is amazing!
    Thank you.
