Are there any specific foods that should be avoided when you are on VRD ? What foods should be avoided when you are on maintenance chemotherapy with lenalidomide or thalidomide ?

Is it necessary to avoid cabbage, cauliflower and broccoli ?

    What about ginger ?

Isn’t the chemotherapy that produces the lacking of taste, because when I came out of the hospital every thing tasted like sodium, all the amount of medicines gave me a hard stomach ache, especially in diaphragm, horrible!, then I didn’t feel hungry, at all the pain medicine caused me sever constipation, nightmares! Little by little I decided to drop the pain medicine which I take at least once a day oxicodone and some other, aspirin is bad, ibuprofen, naproxen horrible nightmares, poor stomach and intestinal problems, poor liver, and so on, then doctor prescribed revlimid which I refused to take, because my stomach already has problems, and other side effects such as blood clot, insomnia, and eventually developing secondary cancer such as limphoma, leukemia and I don’t remember what else.
In sort of conclusion I know that people with this cancer lives an average of five years, the only extension of life can be by chemotherapy or revlimid and perhaps other drugs, but in the meantime the price to live longer is another type of suffering, such as taking a bunch of chemotherapy and drugs for pain, constipation or diarrhea, I think that in my position there has been times in which I just prefer to die, and I am to coward to take my life in an aggressive way, so what about natural medicine, nutrition? Is any body out there that fought the odds with out allopathic medicine? I know there is no cure, but my family didn’t have it, I think this myeloma came into my life because the lacking of some nutrition aspects, lacking of some proteins, and the most stress that I developed si ve I was a kid, I grew full of anguish, sadness, frustration, anger, frustration and finally a horrible neurosis that end up destroying my adorable relationship, and when she left my depression became more severe than ever, chronic, inescapable, my relationship with the world was terrible, I couldn’t hold a job, and even before that I did suffer depression very badly which I smoked a joint of marijuana for years, to relax, it did work but now I can’t smoke because scratch my throats, and causes me allergic reactions such a phlegm and eventually sinus, etc bad for the lungs but honestly feels good when at the moment I smoke it, especially if is natural weed, which I suspect that to day weed is treated with some chemicals to make it stronger, because when I was a teenager weed didn’t scratch or spark, or even flame up, or phlegm, it was smooth in comparison to cigarettes, the ashes didn’t leave a trace of charcoal like today’s weeds, any way natural weed can work for depression but still will distance you from things you have to do and other obligations, it makes you procrastinate, because is relaxing first euphoric then relaxation, no good!
Any way, I am ready to either feel better or just to retire from this world I don’t and no one showily suffer, people should have the right to take off the terrible burdens of being human… I see the birds and menu other animals they don’t develop all the terrible things humans develop, nor in this amount, so I think that stress is the one that causes cancer, and malnutrition, and especially our attitude towards life, the way we think, and our foods, some people have been heavy smokers for 80 years but they if they are relaxed and have a calm perspective and are not negative emotional, they go through out life well, truly it makes me think that the cells get contaminated by various factors o mentioned above, I don’t know if I’m my case I am going to be able to fiight my anemia is the cause too, and I had it for years because some times I eat well but sometimes I didn’t eat much for years, I think I developed this anemia and then this myeloma etc…..
