So many people pour their time, energy, and hard-earned cash into shake mixes, supplements, and specialty products. And they think this time and money is well spent because they’re making the “healthy” choice. But what if they’re wrong? What if those healthy choices aren’t ACTUALLY healthy at all? That’s why Dr. Gundry created his eating program.

As it turns out, even “health” foods like fruit and vegetables can actually do your body harm.

Why? Plants don’t want to be eaten. They simply want to survive. One of the ways they defend themselves against hungry animals like us is by producing toxic chemical compounds – proteins known as lectins.

How do we know what foods to consume and what to steer clear of? Learn more about lectins and the foods that we should be avoid on the official Blog: http://gundrymd.com/cmd.php?ad=993387

What about fiber we need that

  2. Sinnisstar le Riche on March 8, 2023 at 9:08 am

I had Chrons disease and eczema and the lectin free diet did improve my symptoms a lot, but going carnivore eliminated them. I only eat grass fed and finished meat. When I do have a cheat meal I make sure its lectin free.

It’s not easy especially in developing e.g Nigeria and underdeveloped countries where daily minimum wage can only purchase 1 or 2 avocado

Thank you for the list Dr. Gundry. I really would like to start these dietary changes, but do not know where to start. You have simplified it!

Life changing videos – thank you, Dr. Gundry! I was wondering about unsweetened almond milk and coffee? Also, where did you get those beautiful orange flower pumpkins on the shelf behind you? How pretty they are!

I’m wondering about grass fed butter and heavy cream being on the dairy yes or no list? Dr gundry did not specify but this video is now two years old so I’ll look for the answer in his more recent uploadings

  16. Diane Murphy on March 8, 2023 at 9:26 am

Hi Dr Gundry, the lectin free diet has greatly relieved my autoimmune disease, thank you for your generosity in helping so many people! Question: is D-Mannose powder from organic corn safe or must D-Mannose powder be derived from cranberries, apples & birch (hard to find/expensive) ? As I have chronic UTIs and I need to use it often. Many Thanks !

I have a whole plastic Sterilight bin FULL of recipes over the years that have NOTHING to do with Dr. Gundry’s teachings. Is it possible to adjust these recipes healthy, or should I throw them away, and just use your recipes?

  22. DavoLa Topia on March 8, 2023 at 9:36 am

    No mention of almonds?

Great video, great advice. Western society has sacrificed their health for the profit of others, actually DOUBLE profit, because the makers of all the unhealthy foods are heavily invested it the pharmaceutical company’s selling you the medicine to get better from their unhealthy food!!!

  25. Aaron o'connor on March 8, 2023 at 9:37 am

I am a 48 yr old fitness guy — I’m cool w/ walnuts and can let go of cashews — but man I shut down when he told me to nix my jasmine rice —

Rice and potatoes and oats are my go to carbohydrates.

I eat beans and homemade tofu and chickpeas like seriously 🙁 if I try eating 🍤🍗🍖🥚 that’s me going to the emergency room

I was raised eating green bananas but boiled not raw.

  32. red_tempered on March 8, 2023 at 9:45 am

Have to watch the avocado though, I love it so much but it throws my PH balance off so bad, same with nuts…

  33. lisa vanzan on March 8, 2023 at 9:51 am

    What about Roots ???

  34. Daniel Gutierrez on March 8, 2023 at 9:53 am

Great video, and I don’t disagree EXCEPT, Minute 6:00. Humans evolved hundreds of thousands of years ago in Africa, which was/is tropical with endless summers. Migration to seasonal lands happened way long after. So we actually, genetically speaking, evolved eating fruits. I get the sugar point, but the argument to increase fat for winter does not add up.

  35. Won Warrior on March 8, 2023 at 9:54 am

I gave up night shade foods 3 years ago. Changed my life. Including, cereal and oats. The only addiction i have is cashews, lol

  36. Tom Hardy on March 8, 2023 at 9:56 am

At this point it seems easier to just find a way to do photosynthesis myself. That, and drink water

Does this diet has any impact on sleep and mood

  42. Charles Sidwell on March 8, 2023 at 10:02 am

Are almonds low in lectins? You didn’t mention almonds, which are one of the most popular nuts out there, in your coverage of nuts.

  43. Smiling Faces Sometimes on March 8, 2023 at 10:02 am

I wish you were my Dr. There is no one like you under my insurance plan.

  44. Chiara Dibi on March 8, 2023 at 10:03 am

I am quite skinny ( 42kg X 160 cm tall) I have reintroduced more carbohydrates hoping to gain some weight, but nothing really happened. If I follow a lectins free diet will there be the risk to lose even more weight? Is there someone here in my same situation? Would be nice to hear from your experience 🙂

  45. Jacquie Geall on March 8, 2023 at 10:04 am

As a regular listener and subscriber I am overwhelmed with some of the contradicting info out there. Can you tell me once and for all- soy – yay or nay- I use it as the milk in my coffee instead of cow dairy and because of the info that says soy helps prevent breast cancer recurrence ( I am a survivor) Looking forward to your reply. thanks

  46. LoveAmerica on March 8, 2023 at 10:05 am

Dr Gundry, would following this diet help get rid of eczema? My niece has a really really bad case of eczema. So bad she ended up in the hospital 😢
