Excellent presentation thank you, that was clear and concise. Let’s hope that it will be taken on board by those who can exert influence. Hopeful too that when the American Dietary guide lines are reviewed next year, current thinking will be turned on its head. Looking hopeful according to Sarah Hallberg from the Nutrition Coalition, who made a presentation to Congress recently. https://www.nutritioncoalition.us/news/2018/11/9/report-to-congress-low-carb-diet-yields-groundbreaking-results-for-t2-diabetes. We can but hope that sanity will return to the decision makers!

If I went to a dietitian, and she looked like that former leader you showed a picture of, I would know to not listen, and wouldn’t bother coming back. I mean best case scenario, she just didn’t follow her own advice, but much more likely, they either don’t work, or are impossible to follow long term. I don’t need any of that.

Revelation 18:9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.

11 And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:

14 And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all.

15 The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,

21 ……Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.

22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and

    >>>>> the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;

Milestone SHALL be HEARD NO MORE,  milestones are used in grinding wheat and all other grains

GMO is an abomination and against Gods laws of nature and will be a target for destruction when Babylon Falls, they use corruption, conflict of interest, and every other illegal manipulation.

The nutrition in nursing homes is so disastrous. My grandmother, father, aunt and mother used to complain as did many other residents. Starches up the ying-yang. Sweets beyond measure. I would bring meat every time I visited. They would all but attack me to get to the meat and seasonings. Was/is heart breaking. If we complained or mentioned diet changes we were given that “look”.

Wish I’d know then what I know now.

Blood work analysis with an emphasis on metabolic profilie dominates the direction any person should go towards improving overall health.  Your Thoughts?I am a keto/nutritarian.  My keto lifestyle is about 90% plant based.  I am in a health management phase at 56 y/o, 6′-1", 190 lbs.  I strive for overall good health and maintaining optimal biomarker levels.  I do not take any meds.

  23. mike libbey on June 11, 2022 at 11:58 pm

I hate to say that Dr. Demasi is absolutely correct. I’ve been a dietitian for over 30 years and have done much literature research on numerous topics such as food companies influence on nutritional guidelines. One topic that I tried to expose was food irradiation’s negative effects on the general population. I went to a talk on this subject that supported the benefits of irradiating food and disputed with the guest speaker saying there was much evidence saying the dangers of using it also giving numerous references. I was walked out by security within few minutes after the debate.
Unfortunately it’s all about money. I try growing some of my own food and buy much from local farmers use grow produce naturally.

  24. liz Thornton on June 11, 2022 at 11:58 pm

My observations in hospitals showed dieticians who were over weight, spotty and needing good advice 🙄🤔

  25. Lina Adams on June 11, 2022 at 11:59 pm

What a waste of time money, and effort to actually have guidelines at all. People just eat what they want anyway. It’s just all marketing for the various food industries. All you have to do is look at how fat and sick societies have become and stop eating all the industry driven, processed crap and get back to the basic whole foods (preferably keto/carnivore), and watch your health come back and eliminate all the prescriptions that we never needed before. It’s just common sense.

  26. Greg Johnson on June 12, 2022 at 12:01 am

I’m sick and tired of reading well-meaning articles with assumptions about saturated fat, whole grains, sodium, etc. The cited supporting studies use cherry-picked subjects from the starting group and will maybe show a slight association and virtually no causation. It’s so rampant, it makes me sick.

  27. Jennifer Dyster on June 12, 2022 at 12:03 am

Pete Evans is a nutter though. I agree about the conflict of interests.the advice I was given years ago by a behavioural biologist was that it is in no plants interest to be eaten by an animal and to spread the risk eat seasonally and make use of variety. He was in favour of meat, wary of farmed fish, advised halving dairy recommendations, was opposed to all Kelloggs, dont drink fruit juice, eat whole fruit, treat bread pasta etc as a treat .I still follow that up to a point. i find carbs hard to resist and eat more fish than meat. Big fan of fruit and veg.

Everyone knows that GMO whole grain is full of herbicide and pesticide, that kills people.
In effect they have immunity to murder, Australian people.
    Why? money > greed >
That costs the Australian Medicare System billions, and is sending the country bankrupt.

At 14:43 the 8/16/18 Seidelmann/Willett paper is brought up. "Low-carb takes 4 years off your life!" Willett’s goofy PRIOR paper w Teresa Fu (again not based on actual DIETS studied, but on stirred & cooked epidemiological data & FFQs) didn’t gain traction, SO they took great care that this recent one was fed to journalists with Harvard’s vast resources (interviews with the authors including Sara Seidelmann and Scott Solomon were released a day later) and thus immediately widely publicized internationally by bought-and-tamed journalists on its release on 8/16/18.

Willett has 1800 + papers to his name dating back to the 1970s (protect that legacy of pushing grains!). Sara Seidelmann has 21. He used this diet-study-naive young cardiologist as a front, paid a new 2016 Lancet offshoot called LancetPH $5K to publish it.

Willett is a vegetarian and is a co-director of "EAT Lancet" which is coming out with a massive Whole Food Plant Based report worldwide tomorrow.

Individuals can be corrupt. Groups can be corrupt. Corporations, industries, and governments can be corrupt. Who really influences nutrition policy? Basically there are no practical limits here on who to blame. And the financial and ideological incentives are plentiful for using these slight-of-hand tactics in using unsubstantiated or even bogus studies to promote food and beverage consumption that is unhealthy, and "food pyramids" that are clearly not one-size-fits all.

Conclusion: Are all cereals to be avoided or just wheat products?
What about rolled oats or rye?
I understand that all processed foods, snack foods and vegetable oils should be eliminated from the diet, but my question is this:
What are we supposed to eat other than meat, fish, eggs and veggies?

  41. osmoregulatoryorgan on June 12, 2022 at 12:25 am

When the new guidelines are released in 2023, they’ll be excluding meat. The future is vegan unfortunately. Black market meat is coming.

Dieticians want you on yoyo diet ,unsustainable diets ,so you can be back there again to make them more money.
You just need a lifestyle change that you can keep for the rest of your life ,no hunger and sugar cravings ,for me cut sugar ,proccesed junkfood, sodadrinks, alcohol, limit high carb foods ,walking ,and IF ,16/8 or 20/4 .
Lost 25 kg ,180 cm and 70 kg now ,never felt better ,insuline resistance caused by eating sugar and high carb diets ,with toxic vegetable oils are killing us slowly.
