I understand the focus on diet. But don’t forget the massive change in how much people move these days. A large part of the population sits all day, drives to work to sit there and drive back. Back in the day people burned hundreds of calories more and build muscle plus got cardio just living their lives. Nowadays most people have to go to a gym to get any kind of activity due to the world around them being redesigned for cars, instead of walking and biking to where you need to go.

Going from a semi a little active lifestyle to sedentary is a difference of 400 calories at least. The difference for 400 calories per day less burning through activity is gaining 41 pounds of fat per year. People can focus on just the food and carbs, but the lack of physical activity is still the elephant in the room.

carbos = cheap fast food. ketosis is the natural way of the cave man who could only eat meats and veggies. They lived decades without processed sugar intake if not even centuries if one reads the Bible.
cancer cells don’t need oxygen. They may even get that way by the lack of oxygen due to several reasons such as low co-Q10 (take oxygen into the mitochrondia) from the "science" that shuts down colesterol natural production in the liver (also automatically reduces co-Q10 and testosterone production). Cancer cells use glucose to produce energy on a poor form of energy production via fermentation. Once they get that way they lose their specialized function and cannot revert back other than being eliminated.

the fact that a people can go from one genetic reality to another so fast by eating certain foods shows that food is purposely poisoned in the usa

This makes total sense. I have been lucky, grew up in the sixties, that I never liked soft drinks and balked at the low fat ideas in the 80s. As soon as I was out of my parents house, went back to butter!! Never been more than a couple pounds overweight. And I still enjoyed dessert fairly often and drank more than my share of alcohol in the form of wine mostly. Its the soft drinks and preprocessed foods that have caused the obesity problem, no doubt about it. You look at the average American today and they are so not healthy. Just look at family photos from the sixties. People were very slim in those days. Soft drinks were around, but was not consumed like it is today. Plus was made with real sugar vs high fructose corn syrup. There’s the culprit. Fructose.

My own proven method to reverse fatty liver.

I did my blood test yesterday after 5 weeks of 100% no carbohydrates no sugar no fruits no starch no red meat diet. My Liver panel test result shown AST , ALT , GGT level all perfect compared to my previous liver panel blood test result which and ultrasound which detected I had fatty liver.. after Just 5 weeks of healthy diet . My fatty liver is reversed to healthy normal. I lost 4-5kg just from dieting and stop eating after 7pm till next day lunch. 2 meals a day. Only boiled using water, steam Fish , tofu , cabbage broccoli veggies , chicken breast , black coffee no sugar for afternoon lunch and green tea no sugar during evening dinner not later than 7pm. After 7pm I fast till next day lunch 12pm. The fasting time is extremely important as this time allows digestion and some hunger which makes our body burn the fat within without exercising. Exercising barely able to reach the fat around our liver. So fasting is the effective way. I had No milk (contain high fat and high sugar) . No snacks. No all kind of bread which still are carbohydrates. No cake. No biscuits. No rice. No noodles. No fruits especially as it’s fructose are directly process only by our liver! (I didn’t even had avocado) Just 5 weeks and fatty liver is back to normal with proven liver function blood test compared to my previous test result 5 weeks ago. I feel very lively light and positive. I lost 5kg. Also My cholesterol and sugar level were also extremely good blood test result! I m looking way younger and my body is nicer too. I m 33 years old male. Non smoker non alcoholic. Didn’t work in a toxic environment. I didn’t exercise. But I ate much rice , fatty red meat, and milk and cookies and fruits. I slept late before. Now I kicked those bad habit n bad diet. After recovered from fatty liver, I continue my way of eating n fasting n sleeping time. I reintroduced some healthy carbohydrates back into my diet. Such as some corn carrot , some wheat bread, a little potatoes. Please make sure u do not overdo it. I really mean only some. Lack of discipline and taking it for granted will cause regrets. I’m sharing for mankind and for those who were helpless from useless doctors. And I’m sharing in memory of my late father who passed away due to end stage liver disease.

FORMULAR TO REVERSE FATTY LIVER. i have fatty liver. my dad have cirrhosis and passed away due to it. i spend months after months testing my diet and studying about nutrition… (Firstly ,DO NOT DRINK alcohol as they are turned sugar eventually, if u continue then there is no point studying here, just die eventually). HERE, we focus on the real fatty liver as underlying cause, is due to bad diet and inactive meaning no exercise , stop your excuses and do justice to your own life my friends. the number 1 poor habit we have is eating too much carbohydrates (white bread or even whole meal still have carbohydrates by the way, pasta, noodles, RICE, even brown rice red black … all rice have carbohydrates , corn, potatoes, cakes, biscuits) these carbohydrates are everywhere out there selling to us just to keep us full but served tiny nutritional benefits to our body. it is just a habit. if you dont understand what is carbohydrates, it is another word glucose , which mean SUGAR! they turned into sugar in our body. more than often, we consumed more than enough carbohydrates and the excess are all unhealthy. supposedly if we exercise, our metabolism increase, and "burn" of calories and glucose in a form of energy. that is fine because it is math. but often we do not exercise, even if you are not obese which i am not, i am slim yet i have fatty liver, i do not drink and smoke ever, i wasnt on any medication, i had no other diseases ! it was because of all sugar, i ate lots n lots of rice! sometimes noodles, and extra bread everyday as snacks with kaya. i eat cookies too.. they are all sugar eventually. i did not exercise at all for years. i eat fatty red meat too. i used oil to cook. but it is actually the carbohydrates that is causing the fatty liver. I tried i exercise and lost much kg. but its no use, because it barely able to directly burn off liver fats even after we lost lots of weights from other part of body fat. the right way instead is to cut off all bread, potatoes, starch, corn, sugar drink, refined sugar, and FRUITS!!! apples, watermelon, banana…. they are high in fructose! which is sugar !! im serious here, cut off fruits ! After I went on diet method instead of just exercise, I lost another 4-5kg now, we r left with veggies, tofu, carrots, beans, mushrooms, fish, chicken breast, coffee no sugar, tea no sugar. COFFEE AND GREEN TEA IS EXCELLENT for liver. thats it. seriously…. and boil or steam them only… no oil please. boring isnt it? but you need to reverse your fatty liver back to heathy liver isnt it or die. which do u choose? one way to check ur result is through detailed ultrasound, but another cheap way is through (liver panel function blood test) look out for AST AND ALT and GGT level ! simple! if they fall back to healthy range, you are likely succeed. just 5weeks of strict temporary diet months and u can have SIGNIFICANT improvement ! also, you can continue to exercise as it works hand in hand with your diet ! no smoking please at all. stop that lame useless "cool" habit. if your friends smoke, then just don’t stay beside. lastly, we need to eat on time, after 7pm, do not eat anything until next afternoon 12pm is best, to allow our body to digest, and to burn off fat, when our body do not source from food intake, it will source from our body fat, that is how without exercising, fat can be reduced. that is a superior way to burn off fat from liver just by fasting! again this is temporarily until you reverse fatty liver. I REPEAT as summary, 1) EXERCISE AND SWEAT IT OUT (BUT EVEN IF YOU EXERCISE BUT EAT LOTS OF SUGAR AND CARBS , IT IS USELESS!). 2) EAT NO CARBOHYDRATES, SUGAR AND NO FRUITS 3) SLEEP WELL ON TIME SO WE DONT STRESS OUR ORGANS LETTING THEM REST AND HEAL FROM INFLAMMATION 4) EAT AT THE RIGHT TIME TO PREVENT ORGANS FROM NOT ABLE TO REST AND RECOVER FROM INFLAMMATIONS AND TOXINS. 5) FASTING AFTER DINNER TILL NEXT LUNCH, OR AT LEAST NEXT BREAKFAST (NOTE THAT YOU DO NOT OVEREAT TO MAKE UP FOR THE HUNGER, THAT IS FASTING MISTAKE AND WILL BACK FIRE). YOU ARE ALLOW TO DRINK WATER AND MAKE SURE YOU DO. last tips, whole milk are high in sugar and fat too, FRUITS ARE NOT PROCESS BY INSULIN BUT DIRECTLY PROCESS RIGHT BY OUR LIVER, SO STOP FRUCTOUS AND LET OUR LIVER HEAL ! 5) NO SALT. 7)NO ALCOHOL 8)NO SNACKS 9) NO FRIED FOOD NO FAST FOOD. 10)LITTLE RED MEAT, EAT FISH AND CHICKEN INSTEAD. 11) NO RASIN. ALSO , you think milk sound good, but not for diabetes and fatty liver patient. also no butter ! and i do not eat egg while trying to reverse my fatty liver. IT WORKS! im sharing you and the world, because i lost my father due to liver problem. and i have fatty liver. we were very uninformed and uneducated with our lifestyle. doctors often just see us 5 mins and we FO. they do not explain to us , they just say its fat. its wrong. its sugar and carbohydrates we do not understand at all. doctors like to condescending us. they feel like they r so high to behave like a real human and we r just another animals from part of their job. TRUST ME, you tell whatever i said to any doctors, they cant disagree, BUT THEY DIDNT SAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and ginger, we must not over consume! while it is good, over consume is too heaty, and liver cant take it! heaty is bad for liver. so dont be theoretical . HERE LETS DO FALL VICTIM TO DOCTORS BUSINESS INTERESTS WHO WANNA PLAY US FOR MONEY. AND PROLONG OUR CHANCE OF SURVIVAL. THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO KNOWS HOW TO REVERSE FATTY LIVER ARE THOSE WHO HAD REVERSED THEIR OWN FATTY LIVER. NOT DOCTORS!

Prof Ben Bickman said that the adipose tissue of those individuals with the capacity to grow more cells(hyperplasia)can be virtually morbidity obese and still be metabollically healthy.
Genetics do play a role in this for sure but generally everyone can benefit from a diet low in starchy food, no sugar, no fructose and by eliminating vegetable oils from your diet.

  13. Nora Zelaya on April 29, 2022 at 7:20 pm

I am a lean 66, but I was dx with prediabetes. Even though I know even non-obese people can get diabetes, I was confident in my health. I had the greatest disappointment. Definitely, my condition leans to a genetic component. DM2 runs on my mom’s side, she was also dx prediabetic but is doing fine now, my younger sister and older brother are diabetics. In order to remain from becoming diabetic, I am doing daily 16/8 and once a week 24/8. I have lost about 10 lbs in less than 3 months. I also exercise daily for about an hour. My diet is no more than 50 carbs a day with some fat, plenty of fiber, and proteins, and I choose two meals a day to prevent losing too much weight. This presentation has confirmed my concern. I am small and thin; losing too much weight can affect my health. So my diet is only partially keto. Once I get my A1C to return to normal, I will tweak my diet to 3 fastings 18/8 a week, and keep everything else the same. So much to learn.

This is going to be an odd comment… I was an electrician working construction to build the first ( and 2nd and 3rd) UCSF buildings in this complex (in the 90s) and had to endure animal rights protesters harrassment and vandals ( rocks thrown at me , tires slashed, etc) and i feel the abuse was well worth the studies and discoveries made from this entity. Thank you for this information.. it both terrifies me and gives hope.

A ketogenic diet is not only for weight loss but to reduce carbs and fructose from the diet to prevent T2D.
If you are not overweight and are not at risk of T2D then you eat what you have been eating all your life.
Ketones is for intervention to reduce body fat, reduce risk of T2D, reduce risk of CVD , reduce risk of mental decline and detoxify a fatty liver.

  19. H. O.J on April 29, 2022 at 7:23 pm

He provides really poor information on ketosis… individuals who are not overweight will not lose excess amount of body weight from a ketogenic diet. He has obviously never heard of ppl eating too many calories on a ketogenic diet unable to lose weight! The answer is so simple… eat more fats if they are losing too much weight. Seriously this is not the guy to listen to for a ketogenic diet.

Heavy metals, pesticides, chemicals used to process “foods”, prescribed drugs, etc. that all people are exposed to in different levels, depending in where we live, etc. creates illnesses that will never be confronted by these studies because it challenges the Industrial food production, the pharmaceutical industry, etc who influence every aspect of our economy and are synonymous with oil and gas production. If one is willingly to look outside the traditional medical paradigm, that is financed by the institutions that are the cause of illness in this world, it will become obvious solutions for better health have been around for eons. For those who assume pharmaceuticals are intrinsic to being alive, maintaining “health”, and staving off, or treating illness, this may be not credible. The level of healing offered by western medicine is dictated by the pharmaceutical industry which needs to create high profits to please their shareholders. These medications are prescribed by the pharmaceutical company employees such as doctors and LNP. Some of the information in this video is quite antiquated, and will never reap the results necessary to avoid taking medications. Are institutions, such as UCSF, encouraging critical thinking without the limitations imposed by donors, etc,, or are they indoctrinating their students, staff to continue things as they are, indentured servants to the industrial medical complex. To me, this is truly sad.

Consumption of branched-chain amino acids (meat) — > diabetes.
    Consumption of eggs –> diabetes.
Consumption of oil and saturated fat –> diabetes.
Diabetes has become endemic in India and China as consumption of rice fell and the consumption of animal products rose.

  38. Sadhu Cat on April 29, 2022 at 7:49 pm

On one hand he’s demonizing fructose in favor of high glycemic index glucose, then he goes on to demonize finer milled grains for having roughly 10% higher glycemic index (read the actual data table, not a huge difference). Fructose is bad, ok chief I’ll eat less fruit and more glucose polymer type grains. Glucose based wonderbread over fructose based fruits.

Can anyone resolve what I see as a bit contradictory here?

  39. Tech2goit on April 29, 2022 at 7:51 pm

Just to be totally honest this is the norm when ever indigenous peoples live around or with Europeans.

  40. didyuknow on April 29, 2022 at 7:53 pm

insulin resistance seemsto be a misnomer actually, since even people with low BMI can have it. How about if we are looking at it from the wrong end? how about if what is happening is that a person’s organs and muscles may already be full of glucose and that person eats another bite of the typical sugar overloaded processed foods we eat?
Since there is no more space to store that sugar the only thing left to happen is for the blood glucose level to spike fast and stay high much longer and that can start a chain effect on kidneys shutdown and so on? I believe people start urinating much more often before getting what is called diabetes type 2 (eventual damage of the pancreas by excessive insuline demand) as a natural body backup reaction to try to get rid of the glucose in the blood. The issue with that is that most people is already low in electrolytes (i.e. magnesium and potassium) and with the more often urination they get totally depleted and the insulin issues just escalate. Looking at it from the correct side, all we need is to cut down dramatically the sugar and simple carbs consumption along with increase of electrolytes in the diet. Most people get nowhere near the 400 mg of magnesium and 4400 mg of potassium an average person needs daily. The preferred sources are vegetables, but some good supplement sources may be needed as an insurance approach.
Bread nowadays and specially in some countries is like a crime. The bromate, bleaching and processing of the GMO grain is not food. There is a huge difference if you find a bakery that uses unbromated/umbleached non enriched organic unprocessed grains and use real butter and/or olive oil. We don’t need to enrich what was made poor. We need to junk all that industrialized scheme to make the bread last longer and use less flower and go back to the healthy ways of the 70s and earlier.
The runner who died of heart attack probably ate the SAD daily.
One last thing that needs to be looked at is the destruction of the sources of vit K2 in the meats we eat with the replacement of grass fed/grass finished animals by processed GMO grain based diet. Low vit K2 = calcium deposited all over the body (veins, eyes, joints) instead of bones.
Fire the dieticians that created the SAD pyramide and invert it upside down. Since that ain’t happening then each one of us needs to do some reading and watching of expert nutricionists and others that deal with the improvement of people’s health pro-actively on a daily basis.

  41. Victoria Pruitt on April 29, 2022 at 7:53 pm

The difference between the US & Mexico Pima is genetically modified foods & corn syrup processed foods.
It’s not just the Pima it’s all of us.
Just look at how lean & fit all people where in the 1970’s & how fat we all are now.

  42. Debbie Tudor on April 29, 2022 at 7:54 pm

Bread that was not processed was more likely to MOLD, and people were getting sick eating MOLDY bread, and when a Shortage of food occurred, sickness was increased due to hungry people eating moldy food… You cannot look at Wonder Bread without understanding how the health of it played into its creation. It was the equivalent of wearing a mask today, it solves one problem, but long term creates other problems.

THANK YOU!!! This is an EXCELLENT presentation! — I have been practicing IF for 3 years. I NEVER gain weight when I eat one meal a day, particularly if I consume the meal within a 1 hour time frame.I consume sugar almost every day. I LOSE weight (too quickly) when I don’t consume some form of sugar (glucose) with that 1 hour meal. My energy is good, not great. But when I fast for 24+ hours, my energy is amazingly restored and highly increased after 72 hours. And my memory skills improve exponentially. I don’t fast more than 3 or 4 times per year. I have ZERO pain or inflammation, despite being an ice skater for 10+ years in my teens and 20s. – I am considering returning to the rink.
