Kinesiology is NOT an easy major… give credit when credit is due.

  3. Queen Sugah on October 15, 2022 at 8:02 am

  9. el lune on October 15, 2022 at 8:11 am

Hello Tony, what do you think about double majoring exercise science and health science. If I only did one major I would finish in 3 years and for both of them it would take me about 1 year to 1 year and a half extra. Keeping in mind that I plan to attend to graduate school to become a physical therapist. What do you think?

  10. Sara Farias on October 15, 2022 at 8:11 am

I am a senior majoring in exercise science. I am really struggling right now:(

  11. Nand Sookhan on October 15, 2022 at 8:11 am

I’d like to know what college you went to

  12. Ryan Minor on October 15, 2022 at 8:14 am

Would a masters in business be good to pair with this degree? I’m halfway through my E.S. degree and still have no clue what I’m going to do. Having second thoughts after watching this.

  13. Zubair Ahsan on October 15, 2022 at 8:16 am

Thanks alot man probably the most helpful video on YouTube in my opinion

    ooooh thanks for your insights

It is garbage that more is not required to train people, I know because that’s the direction I went years ago. A trainer will soon find they don’t have the answers to a lot of things, like the "Why does this hurt?", but will attempt something anyway. I guess the issue is most gym pay is horrible, and to ask that trainers have a degree just wouldn’t work with their pay scale.

First year in community college, I’m on my way to major in kinesiology. I hope to one day understand the body in a way I never knew was possible. Also wanna minor in space science lol I know the two are almost not similar at all but it’s what I wanna do. Remember guys don’t think too hard on your choices, just follow your dreams and do whatever it takes!

  17. Tom Herbert on October 15, 2022 at 8:18 am

Would this be a good stepping stone for becoming a dietician?

  18. vincent xiong on October 15, 2022 at 8:19 am

Hello, I am a pre-nursing student right now, and is taking courses for exercise science as a backup. But what I want to know is, what medical/healthcare field can I go to?

    Prosthetics?

  19. Lizbet Nuñez on October 15, 2022 at 8:19 am

Did you have a job during college?

  20. Derrick Leonard on October 15, 2022 at 8:20 am

Good video. I’m a high school teacher trying to arrange a shadow day visit for a 12th grader interested in kinesiology. What specific type of professional in this field would you suggest I approach to inquire about a shadow visit?

  21. The Cheeba Lounge on October 15, 2022 at 8:22 am

Thank you ! Idk shit about college so this helped lol👏🏽

  22. Nathan Yan on October 15, 2022 at 8:22 am

I am going to learn this major by English as a second language, none confidence left after seeing this video Lol~

  23. Victor Morales on October 15, 2022 at 8:24 am

@Tony Do hey man, I am a teacher with a master’s degree in education. I am doing a shift from general education (I teach 5th grade) to physical education and health. I got my PE endorsement not long ago but felt that I didn’t learn in depth about Physical education. I don’t want to go back to school just for a exercise science degree but my question is what do you recommend for me to self educate on the subject(s) is there books or some kind of classes you recommend.

  24. 안재형 on October 15, 2022 at 8:25 am

what is the differences between Kinesiology, Exercise science, and Exercise physiology?

  25. Jatt goh on October 15, 2022 at 8:32 am

Can commerce student study and pass it,i mean if it requires good knowledge of physics chemistry math or not

  26. Childish_Dicaprio on October 15, 2022 at 8:33 am

1000% true. Just the degree alone is not worth it, unless you continue you on for a masters or doctoral degree. Most entry level exercise jobs doesnt even require a degree.

  27. Justin Villani on October 15, 2022 at 8:34 am

Would this major be useful for med school? Or am I better off sticking to BIO with maybe some exercise science electives? Thanks

  28. Loncey elie on October 15, 2022 at 8:38 am

    It was 10min 😂😂😂😂

  29. Doug Diamond on October 15, 2022 at 8:40 am

I’m interested because the knowledge gained would be useful AF. You have only one body, so it would be a good idea to know how to take care of it. I have tight hips and once in a while my back goes out really bad. I have physical jobs and it costs me a lot. I want to learn how to fix myself and show others how to do this he same. The physical pain and financial hardship is too costly not to.

  30. Christopher Hernandez on October 15, 2022 at 8:43 am

majoring in kinesiology as well and it definitely isnt easy. going to start physiology this semester and my final semester at a community and transfer to a four year so im just getting started

  32. Robert Booker on October 15, 2022 at 8:43 am

  36. Defying Odds Donnelly on October 15, 2022 at 8:44 am

I graduated with my masters in exercise science in 2017 and finding any kind of suitable work with this degree is almost impossible. Even if you can find work, most jobs require a substantial amount of serving customers/clients/patients which is not my forte. My degree program was heavily focused on doing research, writing out reports, analyzing data, and doing presentations. I gained almost no practical skills outside of the research component. Since graduating, I have only been working jobs that require nothing more than a high school diploma and at or near minimum wage. I will be starting a masters in data science this fall. Hopefully, the advanced data analytic skills I will acquire from this degree program in combination with the fact that it is a quantitative/computer science related degree I will be able to land a data analyst job that will enable me to work towards becoming a data scientist.

  39. lolo orellano on October 15, 2022 at 8:47 am

Hi! Such a very good video! It can be used to do an Athletic trainer master?

  40. Sam Merrill on October 15, 2022 at 8:49 am

What would you have done differently to get where you are? What are some "must" to make it through?

  41. Alkaline PH on October 15, 2022 at 8:50 am

I think one resin exercise science is overlooked is because of the physical therapy fields recognition and the fact that it is not considered a healthcare profession.

It is sad because there should be a precedent for licensure in order to be a personal trainer.

  42. Louie B on October 15, 2022 at 8:52 am

    college sport coach

  43. Tatiane Wu li on October 15, 2022 at 8:52 am

If I want to be exercise physiologist, is there any major that is more safe than kinesiology ?

  44. Mike O. on October 15, 2022 at 8:57 am

So what he’s describing is basically almost all college degrees basically useless at the undergrad level. I’d say you’d probably fare better doing kinesiology over exercise science if you get to pick. I’d definitely look at the courses you’ll be taking above all else. At my community college for example kinesiology covers all the classes that would prepare you for PA school whereas exercise science would not.

  45. Abby Christine on October 15, 2022 at 8:59 am

I want to be a sports chiropractor and I’m really set on this major, I looked at the regular biology majors and they are all about cells and chemistry. I want to know about anatomy and movement and joints. So I thought it would be a better choice but if I’m wrong please correct me. I’m planning on going on to a chiropractic school after and I think exercise science will help me.

  46. Nehemiah on October 15, 2022 at 8:59 am

I’m a random animation and motion graphics major here, drawing at 1am, watching this video… Learn something new each day 😇

  47. Rey Vill on October 15, 2022 at 9:00 am

Im about to freshmen majoring in this. What kind of jobs can you get right out of the gate with a bachelors?

  48. Declan Higgins on October 15, 2022 at 9:00 am

So I’m a few months away from graduating with my PhD in kinesiology & im gonna have to disagree with your last few sentiments regarding jobs/stepping stone. I’ve had job offers with my bachelors coming out my butt. There’s over 4,000 jobs on indeed in my state with “exercise science” or “kinesiology” in the job description/title. You listed barely any of the jobs available with our degree. I think it’s very much an American thing but if you take your degree overseas, there’s even more jobs available. I understand what you mean in terms of it’s not exactly streamlined but there’s a plethora of different jobs available for just a bachelor in exercise science. The video is quite old so maybe it’s just times have changed as I was in my 3rd year when this video came out but it’s certainly very different now

  49. Tina Lin on October 15, 2022 at 9:00 am

If I want to become a physical therapist in the future would it be better if I did a major in biology or exercise science?

  50. ayanna barrett on October 15, 2022 at 9:01 am

i only chose this major because it works well with pre chiropractic studies and i looked through the course work and found out i had to take advanced weightlifting and other p.e classes 😭😭😭😭
