    This isn’t true. Outdated info from the 70s that has been debunked many times by peer-reviewed literature (literally anyone can get informed on this on pubmed). As a personal trainer and physiotherapist, I can tell you that I’ve made many clients as well as as myself from a few years ago from "ectomorphs"/hard gainers into muscular "mesomorphs" with correct training and macros.

    meso endo gang gang gang. Yoga worked well for me 2x a week, I will try to add swimming, spin, HIIT or weights once a week to maintain my muscle. Also thank you!!!!!!!! Hope you have a great day

    I Hey Johanna! My body type is Endomorph, so more protein. I’ve been trying to include more protein, but I’m a vegetarian, so every protein source is actually a higher carb source, due to which I’m exceeding my carb limit and caloric deficit. Can you give a solution?

    I am on my 4th week of trying to exercise daily and eat well. I hadn’t exercised in months! I am 5foot tall and from 60kg, I am now 57.5. No drastic changes in my diet. Just lessen rice intake as rice is life for me. 🙂 I am doiing Joanna’s walking exercises. Slow improvement but I would like to keep it as a lifestyle and not just a short-term goal. Trying to reach 52kg before the year ends. I was 52kg 4 to 3 years ago until my mom died. Thanks Joanna for making these videos. Such a great help.

    Well I found being an endomorph sucks because you need to do more to tone up, I find a diet that isnt high in meat consumption works better. I eat fish and eggs still but becoming a vegetarian helps the metabolism a lot. As learned meat slows up body metabolism and it’s almost impossible to feel good on a ketogenic diet…that’s for me I prefer a medetaranian and vegetarian lifestyle. I feel a big difference with my metabolism , you either stick to calorie control and as much unprocessed foods as possible or go on a keto, adkins diet that just slows down your metabolism making you feel unsatisfied and I still feel hungry on a meat diet…only great if you have the other body type and you can endure that type of body training
    Endomorph needs a lot of time for training but an aero pilates machine and rebounder trampoline works best, a long with jogging or walking daily and just sticking to the diet you feel best on. I have lost a lot of weight but there is still excess fat that endomorph body type stores which just means maybe a low fat diet is best based on how the body stores everything as fat quiet easily.

    I have been on a ketogenic diet a proper one and Adkins I feel there is no full coverage and it leads to binge eating for me, while being vegetarian and seafood just makes me feel lighter and satisfied, the difference is my endomorph is on the hips and legs not thighs. It’s my mother that has the endomorph thighs and shes tall, she doesnt have insulin problems like I do. I am very insulin resistant coming from genetics my father was the same, I dont take anything after my mother she can handle a ketogenic diet and long amounts of fasting for me I struggle so eating natural works best and I stick to low GI fruit as a main source
    You should allow yourself to snack on fruits rather then sticking to a diet that tells you not to eat it. You burn off the fruit much easier then a peice of cake…I avoid starches and flour those are the biggest weight gain and fat storage. Best thing about being a vegetarian is the lack of take away options you are giving yourself a huge favour by not ordering the mainstream which causes terrible weight gain and has added gmo, hormones and highly processed. I still eat eggs as a source of protein every now and again but meat stays in the gut if you have pork or beef about 4 hours, a lot of chicken consumption leads to fat too not only protein. Everything has to be in moderation.

    i used to be skinny from teens to until 20 and dont gain weight easily, but got PCOS and gained weight and gains fast now. so which am I? do choose by how i was as a teen or my body now? Im confused.

    Haven’t the 3 types of body types been debunked already? EVERYONE is a combination of all 3,so can’t really use the 3 body types bullshit. In short just workout, discover you own limits, because saying "oh I’m a ectomorph I can’t gain muscle" is a dumb excuse.

    So I’m an ectomorph so should I do 6-10 reps for everything and then up the weight progressively ( I’m so indecisive and confused when it comes to how many reps to do as everyone recommends different or does 15 sometimes and sometimes 5 and I keep changing my plan and being inconsistent trying to find the correct reps to do 😩 stresses me out 😂
