In Touch Wellness Pitch Video

Wanting to get In Touch Wellness funded, I’ve put into words the goals and aspirations of my efforts to create a community wellness center focused on body neutral health and wellness care.

INTRODUCTION:
My name is Ellie Gonzalez and I’m the founder of In Touch Wellness.

PITCH:
In Touch Wellness is an integrative health wellness center offering therapeutic massage, fitness classes like yoga and Pilates, and nutritional coaching and counseling to the predominantly Black and Brown community of Inglewood, CA.

PROBLEM:
Here’s the problem the city and people of Inglewood are underserved by the health and wellness industry and recent developments in Inglewood’s entertainment district have increased the desirability of living in the city as well as interest from what I like to call “entertainment tourists”. There are no massage clinics and no yoga or Pilates studios within the city, sending current and new residents outside to surrounding cities like Culver, Santa Monica, or Manhattan Beach for these services. All nutritional counseling within the city focus on supplements and weight loss and not health through nutrition. And between the historic Forum arena, the new Sofi Stadium, the recently announced Intuit Dome arena, and the soon to be completed metro station, that “entertainment tourist” market is soon to be the largest block of potential business in the city.

SOLUTION:
In Touch Wellness solves this problem by providing an integrated approach to whole body wellness in the heart of historic downtown Inglewood. We will provide a massage clinic as well as a yoga & Pilates studio that encourages habitual self-care. The nutritional program will be educational in foundation offering group classes monthly, and a personalized one-on-one counseling program. And will be an establishment both in the heart of the city as well as at the nexus of new transportation at the metro station and where the people mover moves them from there to the entertainment district making, it an easily accessible location for residents and tourists alike.

MARKET:
In Touch Wellness is for and of the “City of Champions”. Our target market for the fitness studio & nutritional program are the over 107k residents of Inglewood, the 96k parents, the 72k young professionals, the 13k seniors. And our target market for the massage clinic are the thousands of tourists that will be flooding into the city for the entertainment district events like the 2022 Super Bowl or the 2028 Olympics.

WHY ME:
I have been a certified massage therapist in the state of California for the past 10 years and I’ve worked for myself, in clinics, in spas, in chiropractic offices, in hotels, and yes, in wellness centers. I was even the office manager of a wellness center offering chiropractic, massage, acupuncture, and talk therapy, so I know how to integrate separate healthcare practices. Most importantly I’m a resident of Inglewood and I want these services desperately but can’t find them in the city. As a massage therapist I couldn’t even find a job in my town so In Touch Wellness is the perfect chance to offer these opportunities to everyone in my neighborhood.

FUNDING GOALS:
I’m funding through IFundWomen to raise $50,000 dollars for the leasing of the storefront and to retain the services of the architectural designer and the construction contractor. In Touch Wellness will need to build out any storefront space to get the specifics of the sound proof massage rooms and the properly ventilated fitness area. The massage clinic will also require specialized equipment to get up and running.

THANKS:
Thank you so much for helping and supporting In Touch Wellness and helping us to grow into successful business. One that promotes holistic whole body care and supports the community that I call home.
