Is Diet Coke bad for your health? 😱 #shorts #health #dietfood

have you ever wondered Is Diet Coke bad for your health? There’s a lot of misinformation out there when it comes to diet soda, particularly surrounding whether or not they’re safe to consume.
πŸ’© So let’s #CutTheBS on this once and for all.
🚫 Diet soda isn’t harmful.
πŸ§‹ A lot of people don’t trust these drinks because they contain low-calorie sweeteners (LCS). One particular LCS that has been given a bad rep is Aspartame.
πŸ™…β€β™€οΈ Aspartame is constantly peddled as being harmful to your health – but this just isn’t true.
πŸ“š Numerous studies have shown that consumption of aspartame in the quantities used in diet sodas is completely fine for human consumption.
πŸ“‰ In fact, diet soda has been shown to be beneficial for weight loss by decreasing the desire for sweet foods. (DOI: 10.1016/j.appet.2020.104631)
Don’t get me wrong, water is always the best option, but having a diet fizzy drink every so often isn’t going to harm you.

βœ… I get asked all the time if Diet Coke is safe to drink, and the answer is yes.
😀 This guy blames Aspartame, a low-calorie sweetener (LCS) used in Diet Coke, for it being supposedly unsafe – but there’s no research to show it has any serious adverse effects.
πŸ“š Studies have shown that LCS in diet drinks are beneficial for weight loss. β€œLCS drinks acutely decreases desire for sweet foods, which support their use in place of sugar-sweetened drinks.” (doi: 10.1016/j.appet.2020.104631)
πŸ˜” Aspartame can impact your mood though. So if you’re prone to low moods, it’s best to keep consumption to a minimum.
Here are some other myths that don’t hold up: ‡️
❎ LCS do NOT spike insulin or glucose levels (doi: 10.1093/acjn/nqaa167)
❎ LCS do NOT increase the risk of cancer (doi: 10.1002/fsn3.2395)
❎ LCS do NOT damage gut microbiome (doi: 10.3390/nu12113408)
🦷 The acidity of diet sodas CAN affect your dental health, but this is the same for non-diet sodas.
πŸ’§ We always suggest drinking water to stay hydrated, but sometimes you might need something sweeter, in which case we fully support you drinking Diet Coke.
πŸ“‰ The main principle of fat loss is maintaining a calorie deficit.

People kill me lying πŸ€₯ on YouTube if you ever drink anything that’s diet especially diet Coke or diet Pepsi and you develop a migraine or any kind of a headache after that you’re probably allergic to the aspartame that’s in thereπŸ‘πŸ₯΄πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

One my friends hates aspartame and judges others who consume it, when I asked her why, she gave a completely inaccurate point with no evidence backed up. I think she feels that she is right because overall she is more healthier then me, but she is also the type to not believe in Covid 19.. LOL.

  10. Liam Campion on February 13, 2023 at 7:27 am

Don’t be redicilious. No wonder people are confused about what to eat and drink. Take down this video.

Please stop encouraging us to consume crap.

  20. Neema on February 13, 2023 at 7:41 am

This stuff is addictive and dangerous. Aligning yourself to the recommendation of organisational bodies that are sponsored and aligned by these money making conglomerates is just silly. Coke in itself is very addictive and that should be a warning sign and to question what kinda crap are they adding into this to make you addicted. There is no reason anyone should be drinking this stuff!

I’m a hardcore soft-drink addict. I was given it in a bottle, as a baby.

I lift weights, and run regularly, so I have kept the gut to a moderate level. I have lost all of my teeth to it.

In the past, I have enjoyed Coke Zero. I am thinking of switching to it. I had read it was worse than regular coke, hence my finding this video.

    You have my thanks.

  22. juliocatao on February 13, 2023 at 7:42 am

I completed 35 years in 22, am a blue belt jiu jitsu student and have made 5 full marathons. Then I started drinking coke without sugar 4 years ago when I got married, bc wife have diabetes since childhood and I can tell you, this stuff ruined my results, pushed me into a unhealthy way, eating McDonald’s and other junk food that never really was part of my life, and it was terrible to stop, I felt addicted. I’m not saying is not safe, just my personal experience, but "totally fine" is far from the description I would give.

  23. a i on February 13, 2023 at 7:42 am

Just don’t drink coke drink water the best

  24. Bhavish Rao on February 13, 2023 at 7:45 am

But still it is addictive and waste of money .. remember you need water to survive not coke.

  25. Justin Mitchell on February 13, 2023 at 7:46 am

I have been drinking sugar free cherry coke for a week no joke I gained 5 pounds and my belly is distended. Not sure these chemicals are healthy. Trump is an exception to this all. He’s apparently immortal.

  26. BLACKOUT on February 13, 2023 at 7:48 am

Sugar is also deemed safe, how about that? Down the road, large amounts of sugar eventually lead to inflammation, and in some cases diabetes or obesity. You know it’s been proven about aspartame, sucralose and other artificial sugars? Down the road they lead to inflammation and obesity. So your really choosing the same thing, except one is natural, and the other has obvious minor correlation to cancer related cases. Use your brains people.

You lost us all when you said the World Health Organization approves it. Sorry but you are mis informed ! The gut issues alone is not worth drinking diet soda daily.
