People want to believe that if they just get this one thing whether its a jacked body or money or a car, just anything, that everything is just going to fall in line for them. But you’ll never be at peace that way. You have to actually sit down and think sometimes. You have to eventually understand that you dont need a lot of these things, you dont need to be rich or famous, or be the coolest guy in the room. You will be in a rat race forever if you’re too focused on getting “stuff” whether it be big muscles or money etc. everyone thinks that they’re perfectly fine living like this until they’re old enough to understand how precious life is

In my experience it changes nothing if we talking about how people threat me. Not yet an elite lifter, but I have a better physique than probably 80% of the population. Most people really look like fucking terrible, no offense. I consider myself way above average in physique. I sometimes receive compliments, but that’s about it. People don’t care really. Everybody is busy with themselves and that’s fine.

People don’t respect because of your physique, it’s because they think you will beat them up.

    I don’t know about that.
I feel like a good physique can easily be overshadowed by a bad personality.
Look at people like Castleberry, dude looks pretty big but he’s also one of the biggest jokes in the community.

This is an important thing that people don’t talk about enough tbh. Hitting fitness goals can really change your life and the way people perceive you and if you aren’t prepared for that then you could end up in a bad spot. I think this happens for people who used to be overweight/obese in particular, which is where I started. After getting to even a normal body fat percentage (like 20%) it’s a complete shift in how people treat you. I can only imagine what it’s like for people in even better shape.

I actually think the metaphor of a ‘smart car personality’, would be positive.

Contrary to a ‘lambo personality’, which I think of as loud and invasive.

Hey Justin, I suffered from a broken wrist a couple months ago and it has been inhibiting my training. I have been trying to lose fat in gain muscle but don’t want to cause more damage then there already is. Is there anyway I can achieve my goals by lifting less or not at all????

I had a really negative experience when I got buff. People started calling me a dumb thug when I was actually an A student. This include some family members by the way.

  28. Bublub Buh on July 13, 2022 at 2:58 am

The halo effect true asf, when I was shy and skinny ppl wouldn’t stick around to talk to me as much, but once ppl recognized I’ve gained, even while still being shy, although I feel I’ve improved a bit, they’ll make more of an attempt to keep conversation going. Idk if it a placebo or fr

  33. Timmy on July 13, 2022 at 3:04 am

People really don’t give a shit about muscles… misconception this. They care when you finally stop being insecure though. And body dysmorphia or being a gym day isn’t secure 🫠

  35. AtomicMeatball on July 13, 2022 at 3:07 am

Cocky and arrogant people arent confident. They take their shit out on other people because they’re insecure with themselves deep down. Actual confident people are typically a lot more chill

  36. Asad Pathan on July 13, 2022 at 3:09 am

The truth is we never appreciate even if we achieve our dream physique
Some people already close to there dream physique always try to compare themselves with other individuals
Achieving dream physique shouldn’t be your goal but enjoying the process and making progress on each rep
Nobody realize this but after looking at yourself in mirror you should only think that your better than yesterday and i shall work harder tomorrow to Achieving what i desire

Tbh my body developed faster than my confidence. I feel like it’s finally caught up, but before I had this amazing physique but on the inside I didn’t feel like that. While building your physique, it’s super important to be working on your mental health as well

When I bodybuild..some of my male bosses start to make some negative comments. One of them say bodybuilding is easy and all I do is get big and look unhealthy.
