a pinch of sea salt brings all flavors together. I make mine with raw honey (I don’t cook honey) and fresh lime juice.

  23. Revelation13 on July 22, 2021 at 9:24 pm

  27. ARCSTREAMS on July 22, 2021 at 9:30 pm

did it have an eggy sulfuric taste? if so how do you avoid this other than using ginger extract? maybe ginger powder or some citric acid helps kill it?

  28. Mecanicake on July 22, 2021 at 9:32 pm

I just made this! AMAZING!!! I 100% recommend it, I don’t love ginger ale but I love ginger beer so I used less sugar and put more syrup to fizzy water

Is there a reason you didnt premix the syrup into the water before carbonating it? The drinkmate is supposed to be able to handle that.

  31. David Smith on July 22, 2021 at 9:34 pm

Wondering if Agave can be used as a substitute with the sugar for those that can’t have sugar

You can improove this by not boiling the lime zest, it just turns bitter.
Peel all the lime and cover it in the sugar you include later. Let that sugar zest mixture sit for an hour or two. By that you get all the oils from the lime peel.
Mix in the lime sugar about 5 minutes before the ginger ale is done.

    What’s with the lime juice?
I add it 2 minutes before everything is done. By that you don’t waste the lime juice. I prefeer that taste by far over a simple ginger ale.

Why would you strain out the ginger before reducing and lose out on all that extra ginger flavour extraction??

  36. Troscoman on July 22, 2021 at 9:40 pm

    Well…
You know, you can, actually, make the bubbles with natural fermentation inside the bottle.
THEN will be a REAL ginger ale…

  37. Sheryl Hokianga on July 22, 2021 at 9:40 pm

Well, Some Do People Cheat By Using Out Of The Jar Ginger!..Real Ginger Can Be Expensive If U Dont Grow Yer Own!

    Fun. I love ginger ale : )

  42. Chayo Darling on July 22, 2021 at 9:46 pm

Here’s a tip, add a cup of lime juice to the boil, and you’ll get "ginger ale" syrup when you’re done!

  43. Glenn on July 22, 2021 at 9:47 pm

The real problem isn’t that they don’t have ginger it’s that they all contain high fructose corn syrup.

  44. Classiq Beautee ™ on July 22, 2021 at 9:47 pm

I used to like Red Rock Ginger Ale, that was REAL Ginger Ale. Could hardly drink it, it was so spicy. I randomly looked up how to make Ginger Ale, & here I am 🤷🏽‍♀️

  45. Dennis Bowles on July 22, 2021 at 9:48 pm

    I tried it it fire🔥🔥🔥🔥

  46. Brandon Sanders on July 22, 2021 at 9:48 pm

I found the recipe to taste pretty good. Personally, I don’t know if it is worth it. I bought a pound of ginger which cost me $3 as well as some fresh lime. I found that the ginger flavor is more minor than I would have liked and more syrup is needed. I would recommend dialing down the sugar amount to compensate for the possible extra syrup. The end result is a fresh delicious drink that takes over about an hour to make, and, for my syrup usage, did not get me through my 12 pack of seltzer water. It’s pricey but good.

  47. Lyncri on July 22, 2021 at 9:49 pm

Can I use mineral water? Sorry of my English is bad, is not my primary language. Thanks for the recipe and for response
