This guy is super confusing. He’s saying to eat more fiber and then saying plant-based agriculture causes climate change. It’s convenient that he doesn’t mention the negative aspects of animal foods on health, namely saturated fat’s link to diabetes and heart disease. I’m suspicious that he is clandestinely promoting animal agriculture.
So why wouldn’t he tell us what he eats. As a professional and someone who took an oath to help others, I took offense to him not answering the question asked by the journalist. Then he must be fake!

Then get yourself some black rice (aka forbidden rice) – it’s hearty and chewy – so good! – And very healthy!
Use some fresh ginger, garlic, tamari (..more savory than soy sauce), hoisin sauce.
Make an amazing meal.

Best thing I did was stop buying products in packaging, the only thing with packaging are the eggs from my butchers and they’re just egg cartons we reuse.
He mentioned fiber and the video showed meat, there’s no fiber in meat (or dairy). WFPD.
Healthy food is what God put on this planet for you to eat. One day you will have to give back something so it is important you eat healthy natural raw foods and respect the earth in its natural form. Not altered food nor 50 oranges in 1 smoothie just so u can have mental incliniation and highs so u can be "smart" and work and do more destruction and work and wear out ur bodies … u dont need to pay anyone u dumbasses just take the seeds and plant them everywhere… you only have a few jobs to do. Survive, eat healthy, poop in natural places, and reproduce, and live peacefully and relax. If u are bored go make wood baskets or art or treehouses..

Except that the healthiest food for humans, fruit, is high in sugar (fructose) and high in fiber. The carbs are not the problem, the refined sugars like added sugars and fats (oils and saturated fat meats) are.

Just skip the non essential carbohydrates! No fruits ,No potatoes and NO GRAINS! Humans are essential carnivores which large small intestines, tiny cecum, are enzymatic digesters and are NOT hind gut fermenters!
The best thing we can do as a nation is to stop subsidizing Big Farming as the subsidies make processed food cheaper and ultimately increase our medical bills. Say "no" to the next big farm bill!

Dr. Lustig has helped me tremendously. I have all three of his books, and within that time I have transformed the way I think about food and the way I consume food. I’ve lost a grand total of 178 pounds over two years and I don’t even crave toxic crap processed food. I don’t even count calories. I eat real food things that can be grown things that occur in nature. I also make sure that everything I have has fiber. And that’s it. It’s very simple… And I don’t know why people are so blind an ignorant to the real problem.
None of this is any news. Avoid processed food, avoid sugar, eat whole plants.
Don’t tell me Twinkies and Ding Dongs are bad?

Meat is poison. He is describing a plant-based diet with high fiber and such. Animal products kill us all slowly.

Why do ABC’s on-air presenters feel the unnecessary need to be simplistic and exaggeratedly friendly? This presenter’s responses to the doctor’s advice is strangely lacking in seriousness and adult consideration as if this was a spot about a kid’s petting zoo or the circus rolling into town.
Herbs break the processed food down and they dont sell them at stores so they should add them to the food

I went on the Paleo plan on July 19. In addition, I have kept my protein intake to about 46 grams daily, recommended for women. That’s about 4 ounces of beef, chicken, or pork, but what I usually eat are 2 free-range eggs and make up the rest in high-protein vegetables. Otherwise it is fruit and vegetables. This coming Monday will make 5 weeks since I began. My digestive tract is working SO much better now–and I have had many problems due to Celiac Disease. My inflammation symptoms are gone. I have more energy. And I have dropped about 17 pounds. This doctor is right–eat lots of fruit and veg (3-4 fruits daily, 4-5 veg minimum), skip the processed crap, because it truly is poison. Cut your meat intake to what you actually NEED in a day (and buy grass-fed if at all possible), and your grocery bill will be just fine.

Yeah, I have a problem with his response to what he eats. I do believe in eating as many fresh fruits and vegetables as possible but I enjoy listening to doctors like Dr. Gregor, Dr. Esselstyn, Dr. Bernard, Dr. Campbell, etc. They basically teach what this doctor is saying but openly share their recipes and personal eating habits.
