Thank you, Pahla, for the recommendations. With the desire for a better, healthier life, we do tend to do Google searches and Youtube searches in the hopes of finding good advice. But, with so many "experts", it becomes a little scary to know who to trust. So, a big THANK YOU for helping us filter through all the available info online.
I’ve already been watching videos of some of these folks. Now it’s time to check out the others! Yay!

  2. YogaMom on January 20, 2023 at 5:12 am

Abby Langer is another Canadian RD that is no nonsense. Love her

  3. Just be Fit with Anna on January 20, 2023 at 5:14 am

I have used a local PT here in Idaho, but also use Bob and Brad’s tips often.

  4. B P on January 20, 2023 at 5:15 am

Appreciate your suggestions 😊 but wondering if you or the Killer B community has seen Tone and Tighten YouTube videos? Love that he explains everything in detail and has a genuine smile plus the exercises has helped my chronic neck pain 🙏 Thanks 😘

I’m so happy that you’re not following a bunch of quacks and anti-vaxxers.

  6. Julie on January 20, 2023 at 5:17 am

Kati Morton is really good for mental health. She has several videos about how poor mental health can affect our relationship with food.

  10. Mena on January 20, 2023 at 5:23 am

YouTube has definitely become a great source of information as long as you select the ones who are truly qualified like you described. I like several of the ones you mentioned and will be checking out the others.
I also recommend Doc Schmidt, The Budget Dermatologist and Dr Matthew Weiner.

Thanks so much for the video, I will definitely be checking out a couple of the ones you mentioned. I have also learned a great deal from the channel “Menopause Taylor “. She is licensed in gym/on with additional degree in menopausal medicine.

  19. Debra Knott on January 20, 2023 at 5:35 am

Nutritionist Rhiannon Lambert is great , she has just had a book published called The Science of Nutrition, she has a podcast too.

  20. Libby Kirkland on January 20, 2023 at 5:35 am

For women over 40, in menopause and dealing with our changing skin and make-up needs, I also recommend Angie at Hot&Flashy. Not a doctor of anything, except a 59 year old menopausal women who does unbiased reviews of skin care products, with a focus on anti-aging, and offers fantastic make-up tips for our aging skin, as well as clothing options.

  21. Amber Bosje on January 20, 2023 at 5:35 am

Thanks Pahla! Really glad to find your resources and see how they will make a difference in my 54 yr old so-so body 😊 Just started watching your videos which make sense and seem so doable! And just a note… your hair is adorable

  22. yooperlooper on January 20, 2023 at 5:36 am

I have a Holistic MD, a Veterinary and a Chiropractor. All A+ and my Vet is the cutest e-v-e-r. He won Americas favorite veterinary a few years ago. Pretty high praise since I live in a small town way up north. Just about all the doctors up here aren’t independent, they’re run and governed by the overlords of the "health system" that bought them out. They are told what to do, how long to spend with a patient, and treat with as many drugs as possible – and treatments where they get paid the most. I’m sorry, but that’s the truth – it’s all about the money – and that’s why my doctor left the organized medical industry and studied holistic medicine. And I’m glad he did.

  23. Lucianne DeMarco on January 20, 2023 at 5:39 am

What a wonderfully informative video, Pahla! Thank you! I also watch, here on YouTube, Dr. Barbara Taylor know as "Menopause Barbie". She’s amazing! What is everyone’s favorite calorie counting app? Thank you!

  24. Chrysmum920 on January 20, 2023 at 5:39 am

Thank you so much for this video! I really appreciate how, right from the start, you advise viewers to get expert advice from actual experts. As I librarian this is a sentiment close to my heart 💜

  25. Gena Brooks on January 20, 2023 at 5:40 am

I almost never post a comment, but I love this one. Brad & Bob are so funny, and I watch them all of the time when I need a good stretch move.

  26. Linda Bliley on January 20, 2023 at 5:42 am

Jessica Valant Pilates is also a PT and offers back, hip and body stretches and strengthening in 5 to 10 minute intervals. Great for an after Pahla stretch.

  27. Laura Barnett on January 20, 2023 at 5:42 am

I have learned sooooo much from Dr. Barbara Taylor’s YouTube tutorials on menopause which includes nutrition, fitness, etc. She’s an OBGyn who can thoroughly explain menopause in layman’s terms and how women can thrive during this part of life. Look for menopause taylor.

  28. Suncoastfit - Fitness Over Fifty on January 20, 2023 at 5:43 am

This was such a good idea for a video and the links are much appreciated! Personal Experience vs. Actual Expertise is a very important distinction. Thank you!! 🙏

  29. Cmwham on January 20, 2023 at 5:44 am

Dr. Barbie Taylor is a retired OBGYN and has a Youtube channel that focuses on menopause. She is a wealth of knowledge and even offers one on one consultations. Her Youtube channel is Menopause Taylor.

  30. Jannie R on January 20, 2023 at 5:45 am

I have wonderful in person physicians. They are so very busy in their practices- I can’t imagine them having the time to have a YouTube channel. So, I’m always skeptical of doctors on YouTube. If they were wonderful doctors, why are they not in their office taking care of patients in person? Just my personal opinion. I have looked at physical therapists for plantar fasciitis and some say opposite of what other physical therapist say. It could be that way in actual clinics as well. I just think we have to be very careful with YouTube. Saying this in a respectful tone!!

  31. Lori Bierling on January 20, 2023 at 5:45 am

Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, Michigan, has started a Culinary Medicine Program. It’s great! It’s crazy that most (probably) med schools don’t include comprehensive culinary medicine teaching. But I’m hoping there’s an upward trend towards that. Food, the right foods, can be medicine! Thanks for this great video, Pahla. I’ll be checking out these experts!

  32. Sandra Brinkley on January 20, 2023 at 5:48 am

I love Dr. Jo and her puppers! And Bob and Brad are great, too…I’ve been following them and Dr. Jo for about a year. Thank you so much for the recommendations!!

  33. Kim McBerry on January 20, 2023 at 5:51 am

Dr Eric Berg is a great one to follow too!

  34. Connie Young on January 20, 2023 at 5:52 am

    Check out SugarMD.

  35. Kat4Animals00 on January 20, 2023 at 5:52 am

I do love Mama Dr Jones. She’s my favorite out of everybody you mentioned. Bob and Brad are pretty good too. But I’m really glad you did mention Mama Dr Jones 👍🏼

  36. Amy Deloria on January 20, 2023 at 5:53 am

Bob and Brad are faves of mine, too! I also love Sadia’s channel Pick Up Limes for simple, delicious and nutritional food. Even though I’m not vegan, I am learning so much about plant based eating. I believe Sadia is a registered dietician, but not certain.

  37. Barbie c on January 20, 2023 at 5:53 am

    All great information.

  38. Sarah C. on January 20, 2023 at 5:55 am

I agree with a lot of these! 👍 Abby Langer Nutrition is also a good person to follow (blog/FB/Tik Tok) as an RD. Unfortunately, Dr. Mike annoyed me yesterday by bragging about all his world travels. Don’t care, Doctor Model! Give us facts! 😉

  39. Rachel Lee on January 20, 2023 at 5:56 am

Thanks for this, Pahla! I really appreciate your emphasis on recommending licensed/certified experts who follow science!

  40. Manda Jones on January 20, 2023 at 5:57 am

As you said, Drs. do not get any true nutrition training in school. While dieticians do specialize in nutrition studies, we have to remember that some of the research they study is often funded by industries wanting results to come out in their favor. I personally prefer dieticians who believe that a whole food mostly plant based diet is the best for humans and the planet. I lost 65 lbs and reversed every health issue I had this way. I do agree that Bob and Brad and Dr. Jo are great sources for PT info. There has also been an increasing number of doctors moving into lifestyle/functional medicine which cover many aspects. One I enjoy is Dr. Sadiq Sheraze. He does not have a YouTube channel but you can find a few interviews with him here.

  41. C. Th. on January 20, 2023 at 5:59 am

Dr. Barbara Taylor is a retired OBGYN and has a Youtube channel that focuses on menopause. She is funny to.

  42. Ginny on January 20, 2023 at 5:59 am

Such a helpful video, thank you!

  43. Cheryl Fenton on January 20, 2023 at 5:59 am

Thanks for all the info Pahla. I love Bob & Brad too ….I use some of their videos
    Have a great week 🙂❤

  44. Kim M. on January 20, 2023 at 6:00 am

I really like Ask Dr. Jo, too (and her dogs). I’m so glad you mentioned her. She really helped me through some back pain I was having. Now I’m able to run with you.

  45. Michelle Fegley on January 20, 2023 at 6:01 am

Thank you for this video. I’m struggling right now and feeling depressed about my body. I look forward to checking out these recommendations as I start down the road of self love. Your videos always make me feel better. You are fun and positive. Thank you!

  46. Kat4Animals00 on January 20, 2023 at 6:02 am

Abbey sharp. Ugh. No thanks. She doesn’t really eat that healthy in my opinion to combat her sibo and she does not give sound advice in my opinion I’m surprised she’s on your list. She’s very critical of other people which to each their own however she has not been healthy as she states in her videos especially recently of sibo challenges. If a dietitian is to help you fix what’s going on in your gut yet they have gut issues themselves, sibo, there is a lack of confidence that they’re going to be able to help another person with said gut issues if they allowed themselves to get gut issues and they’re the dietitian.

  47. Sveiksmobile on January 20, 2023 at 6:03 am

This is great! I subscribe to all of the recommended experts! 🙂

  48. Tan Eik Fai on January 20, 2023 at 6:05 am

    Great to see you here👌💪💪💪😭😷

  49. Traci S on January 20, 2023 at 6:07 am

It’s so great hearing other suggestions to check out! A favorite dermatology channel I recommend is Doctorly. As a teen that enjoyed the sun back in the day, I’m very intentional with my skin care and mole checks. I like hearing the doctors talk about some of the popular products on the market, tease each other, and be goofy while also imparting some actual science. Some is opinion of course, that’s why there are so many options to choose from!

  50. Wanda L. Rodriguez on January 20, 2023 at 6:07 am

So helpful your information clear the air on things I never thought about thank you 😊
