“19 year-olds are as sedentary as 60 year-olds” – Then stop pushing college. STEM and the arts are both unnecessarily time-consuming fields that require hours upon hours a day in order to be successful. When do you expect the typical student to go exercise?

I never actually took health class… In the "health class" I took they were teaching us about the Syrian war. I asked quote: "wtf does this have to fo with health class?" And the teacher says: "it affects your health." Like WTF???!!!

  18. sunny Tomar on May 31, 2022 at 10:18 pm

I am a skinny 14 year old vegan but this doesn’t mean that I am unhealthy, infact, I can run at a top speed of more than 32 km/hr. GPS speedometer showed that I can run at a top speed of 32 km/hr but once it also showed a max speed of 34 km/hr but since it’s not quite accurate that’s why I rejected the later speed as my highest.
And please don’t call a skinny guy on the street or somewhere weak and unhealthy because this body hides something.

Our schools and colleges have done an excellent job along with the government and healthcare industries in teaching the population how to be healthy and have kept our population in excellent physical condition with their common sense and scientifically relevant advice…just take a look around you and you can see a vibrant, healthy energetic population of citizens…
If you believe that, you are a moron.

  25. c P on May 31, 2022 at 10:24 pm

So many people believe that a healthy meals has all food groups in every meal. Some of the nutrients prevent each other form absorption like calcium and iron. So many women have low iron or low calcium at some point in their lives.

This is really informative. I’ve been trying to look for a video similar to yours that really explains the stuff in this vid! 👨‍⚕️Your lesson for sure is similar to the channel from Dr. Ethan. Doctor Ethan’s demonstrations are totally informative and he really helped me a lot on my diet.

You should watch his channel out and give the Dr a subscribe over here! ➡️ #DrEthanEducation

  33. Erenjeager94 on May 31, 2022 at 10:37 pm

My school had health class, but I was goanna take it for my sophomore year, until they got rid the class because of budget cuts.😭

P.S I like the Okinawa Pyramid

  34. Celtic_Kitty on May 31, 2022 at 10:39 pm

Well they still teach the food pyramid in school so that went well—

  35. Bre on May 31, 2022 at 10:41 pm

This is why I became a P.E teacher…. and this is also why I’m quitting and leaving for a different profession. Math, reading, science and social studies aren’t the only subjects being ruined by public education "leaders". I won’t say where I live but my superiors have told me on multiple occasions that health just "isn’t that important in our government officials eyes."

Unless we have another serious war, like WW2, our American physical education programs will continue to deplete into poor programs like these mentioned in the comment section.

  36. The Creek Kid on May 31, 2022 at 10:42 pm

Schools are teaching us how to be healthy,

Meanwhile serving us unhealthy, disgusting breakfasts and lunches

It is almost like they are trying to compensate for their actions.

I remember in pe class on fitness day I got points taken off bc I didn’t have shoes with laces on them but I even told her why and still did what I was supposed to do but her favs get away with it and she always targeted me

  43. Bobby W on May 31, 2022 at 10:52 pm

labeling foods as healthy or junk food can create a negative relationship with food.
Food should be viewed as morally neutral, where some are important for nutrition and some taste good and make you happy, with teaching on balancing out the two.

  44. M3ta1 on May 31, 2022 at 10:54 pm

Cultural influences also play a role in food choices.

  45. Allistair on May 31, 2022 at 10:56 pm

My school used all three of those models and I was very confused about it.

  46. Brandon Short on May 31, 2022 at 10:56 pm

    P. E. classes are too sport centered, they don’t teach you how to exercise, proper form, or how to build a good regimen. Health classes(Home Ec in some cases) don’t teach anything worthwhile. But they should focus on taking things in moderation and separating the authentic foods from the foods they would like to limit. They might as well do away with the simplified versions of healthy eating due to unintentional lumping together. It’s not that simple, don’t force it. #LaSierra
