He handled that with grace. Me … yeah … not that graceful.
I remember my first panic attack. It was in 2013. I am an RN, and I had just finished my shift at the hemodialysis center. As I was about to leave I started to get this odd feeling in my head, something I had never experienced before. I refer to it now as feeling "heady", because it isn’t really confusion, brain fog or dizziness, just something off with my brain. Then one side of my face went numb and my heart began to beat out of my chest. I honestly felt I was having a stroke. My fellow nurses sat me down and took my vitals. My BP was something like 190/110. I had never had anxiety issues really, so a panic attack never even entered my thoughts. They called an ambulance, and I went to the ER. It was a horrible experience. The ER nurses were lousy, no compassion at all. I started having chest tightness/SOB while waiting for the doctor. I still had no idea what was going on with me. They had done lab work, an EKG and some imaging, but nobody was communicating with me. My guess is they expected a panic attack and decided to treat me like some hysterical fool. Anyway, they left me in a room alone for over an hour in that condition telling me there is nothing they could do for me until the doctor saw my labwork/EKG. They just seemed annoyed by me. Until you have a major panic attack, you really can’t understand what it is like. Especially when you first start having them, you are convinced you are dying. Thankfully I recognize them now and can work thru them.
Sorry so long. Sort of cathartic telling this story.
Been there. My prayers for you.
I swear only white people have these weird problems that😆🤦🏻♂️. This is so gay😅.
My panic attacks are really bad to where I nearly call 911. I had one yesterday and I thought I was going home to glory. I recently had surgery and I was moving around to much and completely panicked. Its the worst feeling ever!!
I read somewhere on here, someone saying that we were bragging about who had the worst panic attack, I can assure them that we are not bragging, in fact it is quite the reverse, it takes a lot of courage even to admit having one.
I swear I had a panic attack in the middle of a short zoom talk(around two minutes long) the other day, but everyone(there was like 120 listeners) I ask who was on the call say that my talk went absolutely fantastic, that I was calm and collected during the whole talk, and that they didn’t notice anything. I’ve asked like ten or more people at this point. I can clearly remember starting okay, but towards the last two thirds of my prepared speech I started hyperventilating and just rushed through.
And I didn’t ask them leading questions either. I ask them like "could you hear me well?" or "was I too fast?". Everybody says no. Surely somebody would’ve noticed. Or was the feeling of panic so subtle that nobody did!?
Could it be possible that everybody is lying to me, or is it all in my head? Can somebody with more experience help me on how I can confirm or disprove it? Unfortunately the call was not recorded.
When I have a panic attack I feel like I’m in a nightmare or that I’m dead living in an afterlife.. I get absolutely crazy.. If someone saw me while having one at the peak it would look like I’m going crazy and freaking out. Maybe even crying with my hand on my face and rocking back and forth.
Thank you for sharing this much needed information. It’s such a BLESSING 💞🤗💞🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Suffers a anxiety attack working for a network sponsored by big pharma.
Only simple minded Americans would fall for this
THAT was a melt down??????? ummmm…oooooook
They suck…they come out of nowhere and are terrifying.
Meditation. Stilling in order to observe the sensations and thoughts and trusting 100% they will pass. Fighting, running away, ignoring, all create more fear.
He handled that amazingly well! The ones I experience involve uncontrollable crying, constantly moving my fingers and running to get outside into fresh air (especially if I’m in a car)
Man, I thought I was gonna see him get hit over the head with a frying pan😔.
18 years ago now
That’s a freak out melt down? He handled it pretty well
I have panic attacks. The last one I had I got an aura like people who have seizures do & was able to go lay down in my bed so I could clutch my pillow. I had one in the doctors office once, & not a soul knew, I got out of there so fast & back to the car. I didn’t want them to know lol, it does embarrass me sometimes. I been having them so long tho, it doesn’t scare me anymore, I know it can’t kill me.
If you are reading this, know that you are worthy of anything you desire. Most times it amazes me greatly how I moved from an average lifestyle to earning over $63k per month, Utter shock is the word. I have understood a lot in the past few years that there are lots of opportunities in the financial market. The only thing is to know where to invest.
Kudos to ABC to support him on his journey and not vilify him for having mental health issues and a substance abuse disorder. I’m glad that he found recovery on his journey and is able to share it with people (if even for a profit).
Awesome job Dan Harris. Just listened to your podcast with Daniel Ingram and was so inspired. Hope you’re doing much better these days friend. I love Daniel Ingram and recommend everyone listen to that podcast for some amazing spiritual benefits.
Omg 😢😢
I’ve never suffered a panic attack, but my nerves when stressed trigger big giant red blotches all up and down my neck and eventually across my face!… Its horrible and very embarrassing, especially during a job interview or a first date!… 😔
That’s a panic attack?
“Doctor” damn oz??! Ugh!
I’ve only felt it once and it was horrible.
#1 ED visit for "A Heart Attack" that really isn’t.
Poor guy! It’s not embarrassing ! I can relate and it’s okay
If I were Dr. Oz I’d be having meltdowns after being beaten by Herman Munster in the senate.
The first time I had a panic attack was in 11th grade during class. I had just returned to school after having a surgery the month before and it felt so overwhelming suddenly being surrounded by people (most of them bullies) again. My best friend ran to the nurse’s office and I was on my desk screaming and crying because I thought I was about to die and I didn’t even get to say goodbye to my mom. Luckily they’re not that extreme anymore but I still have them. I use a weighted blanket and grounding techniques to help me get through.
It’s crazy how the person panicking is internally screaming and flailing and for the most part, externally, they just kind of look like they’re rebooting. Having panic attacks in public is absolutely terrifying and I feel for people who’ve been through it too.
How about a sonic frequency weapon 🔫
It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.
Its that devil. He can steal your mind. Deliverance is the answer. Seek God he will deliver you.
Check in with some Vietnam vets or Iraqi war vets and get back to me.
Dan Harris is so beautiful. Especially his eyes. Swoon. Nice of him to share his experience and solutions.
This is what they make clonazepam for.
1:05 when he starts to pant, that’s the outward sign. But he looks very calm otherwise
They can sell everything.
Pless
Welcome to my world
lizzard people iluminati bullshit comfirmed
Wheres part 2
Ever have one when you’re sleeping? As bad as they are when I’m awake, having them when I’ve slept is the most awful feeling I’ve ever had. I would rather walk with a cane for life than to have those again.
: They’re not talking to us anymore, madam, and I understand that as well.
he handled it incredibly well
I get them ever since I took a fall and hit my head. My Dr. said I’ll have them for the rest of my life. You cannot control them. I’m impressed with how well he did.
It was a melt down because you realizes that stations probably causes cancer and you got paid by blood money to say it
Wow The vid was 8years ago, and what happened to Dan was 10 year prior that.
So what’s the semi-cure that he never mentions?!?
