Is there an app to show you some meal plans….. these videos are great….. but I’m kinda of one of those people to see it as far as the meal goes and see it on the plate and maybe how to make the meals

Also i can vouch I am loving the RP Diet app. I have never been able to keep my head clear on the goal with all the numbers floating around all the time, and i can say as someone who struggles with food (not morbidly obese) that i was able to enjoy a very healthy Poke bowl yesterday without worrying about the carbs and such because of the habits the app is helping me build.

Studies have suggested people can only absorb 40 grams of protein in one sitting. Have their been studies on if this is a static number for people or if people with a higher demand can absorb more protein at once?

What if height is a factor in higher body mass? At 6’3" does my intestinal track absorb protein at the same rate as some one with the same build but considerably shorter? It feels more practical for me to have 50-60 grams of protein at once so I can get 200-220 grams of protein in less than 5 or 6 meals?. But am I still absorbing the protein properly if I consume it over 3-5 meals?

Mike, you have amazing presentation skills. Perhaps you can give pointers to your teammates in RP who also host videos.

  20. E Y on September 1, 2022 at 6:22 am

Unfortunately the RP App is too USA centric

Really liking this series, I really underestimated the struggle of maintaining / not losing more weight. I always had a huge pull towards fish, lean meats, vegetables, easily fatigued by filler carbs and my body never learned to deal with fats well. So the more weight I lost, the easier it became to move, the more I moved. (I come from bedbound, movement is such a luxury / reward, it’s hard to just ‘chill it’ especially my non-exercise burned calories.) I figured I can just eat more of all the stuff I love… turns out even on 5 meals, I can’t… There’s not enough room in my stomach, I bloat, get sick… Even when I was eating what felt like ‘non-stop’ (whenever there was room.)

So I’m 28 and just moved in with my aunt and uncle for a week or so to for the first time in my life learn about a healthy relationship with food and eventually find a balance between this and the high fats / medium protein / low carb lifestyle they have (unless they’re on their active days where quick carbs are king, 40km bike-rides and such.) I feel lethargic, sick, miserable and like my tongue is covered with an oil coating permanently… but my body needs to get used to fats and a rigid meal schedule, so 5 meals can cut it and I can cut down when activity lessens.

Pretty cold shower… I really assumed ‘just eat more of what works’ was a flawless plan. You keep me sane. I’ll get there!

commenting for teh algorithm… and because i love mike

  23. S E on September 1, 2022 at 6:23 am

As soon as Mike said the words "standardize" and then "3-5 meals" I knew this was a video built around an ad 😂. Even still tho, it’s a legit good product so I love it.

  24. Álvaro Flores on September 1, 2022 at 6:23 am

    That intro!! Cool!!!

  25. TypicallyUnique on September 1, 2022 at 6:24 am

  32. TheFizzjunior on September 1, 2022 at 6:35 am

I’m wise to this series trying to turn me into a nutrient consuming machine. It’s not happening!

  33. Onur Böle on September 1, 2022 at 6:36 am

    Your face got leaner!

  34. RickySterling on September 1, 2022 at 6:36 am

Hi Dr. Mike. I noticed that 99/1 ground Turkey is not included as a pre-set protein source on the rp app. Is there a reason for this? Is it not an optimal protein source?

  35. ÂBHΊŤ ŘÂJ on September 1, 2022 at 6:39 am

    💯👍

  36. Michael Banks on September 1, 2022 at 6:45 am

    Flexible, but set in stone😂.
Good info but that sentence got me

  37. Hamburginator on September 1, 2022 at 6:47 am

I have to commend this video. It’s helpful for me as a person who has made healthy eating a habit over the past few years (but can always improve) but I would also feel comfortable showing it to someone who’s just trying to get healthy eating habits started.

  38. s i on September 1, 2022 at 6:52 am

I enjoy Mike’s manner of speaking and the way info is structured so much, that I even watch all the videos with information and subjects I already know for a long time. Amazing way to learn how to communicate all this stuff to other people.

  39. Randall Quad on September 1, 2022 at 6:53 am

"Choose two to four basic options"…yeah, this is not for people who want to enjoy their food

  40. Jamie Witcher on September 1, 2022 at 6:56 am

These vids are by far the most informational. They way you explain things is spot on for my brain to keep the info!

  41. Antonio Balint on September 1, 2022 at 6:58 am

Why you putted on private the other videos about healthy eating made simple?
