Having enough energy is vital. The key to reestablishing your energy is to address the root causes of fatigue and the nutritional deficiencies behind fatigue.

There are two top causes of fatigue. The first is a lack of sleep. It doesn’t matter how many supplements you take—you’re still going to be tired if you’re not sleeping.

The second core cause of fatigue is running your body on the wrong fuel (glucose). Burning fat is the most efficient source of energy. To do that, you need to get on the Healthy Keto diet.

Overall, to boost your energy and avoid fatigue, you need to consume a variety of healthy foods and avoid foods that cause fatigue, like sugar and refined carbs. You also need to make sure you’re getting plenty of quality sleep.

Primary nutrient deficiencies that cause fatigue:

How about blood type can that be a reason for not enough red cells? RH negative blood type has more white cells than red. I love your videos. Thank you 🙏

What type of magnesium is best for energy, & cognition? I’ve tried mag l-threonate for a month, & mag malate for a few months. And to sleep/ before bed mag glycinate. I find mag malate to be good, but not sure if it gives me energy or relaxes my muscles. Thoughts?

  15. Crisalida Thomassie on March 28, 2023 at 10:24 am

Thanks so much for this video. It has clarify some thoughts about getting energized the right way. I take Magnesium Glycinate and B1. It has helped me tremendously with my sleep, anxiety and depression. You are an exceptional human being and one of a kid doctor. Thanks again for keeping us all in the right track. I would like to know how to start the intermittent fasting. I’m 67 and working on lowering my cholesterol. I’m taking medication for now to help me but as soon as it is down I want to do it the healthy way. Many blessings to you and take care. Each video I have watched has helped me so much. I will continue following you closer.

What if you have kidney disease? You can’t do Potassium. Some of the leafy greens mentioned for the vitamins you need have potassium. I am anemic, so, I wouldn’t be able to take Magnesium or Potassium. How much MG to take with each vitamin?

I m always feel tried , I feel so tired that weekend sleep whole day, so tired that don’t like to eat, I have a thalassemia, my B12 , folate , iron all low, taking supplements but I can’t take supplements for iron because of my thalassemia 😞. If I go out I just sit , Little bit fun will make me more tried.

  27. Jenna Goodwin on March 28, 2023 at 10:42 am

B12 comes from a bacteria in the soil, not animals. They are injected with it, you can get it naturally from sea vegetables and iron from sarsaparilla or burdock root to name a few without suffering

  28. russellla63 on March 28, 2023 at 10:44 am

I wonder if deficiency in these can cause Chronic Fatigue Syndrome? I have this diagnosis, but haven’t been able to find a doctor that can help me.

  29. JoshPhoenix11 on March 28, 2023 at 10:46 am

And ideologues that jump on every bandwagon like on the alkaline diet will likely be low stomach acid. The importance of Stomach acid is its own subject but its needed to produce the Intrinsic Factor thats needed to absorb B12.
Also plant based B12 is pseudoB12, its not real, its an analogue of true Cobalamin and will actually inhibit metabolism of true B12.
Blood serum B12 tests do not and can not show your functional active levels
of B12. There is no direct test to show functional B12 levels and you need a doctor who knows how to go about it properly.
Dont listen to any doctor who does a blood test for B12 and says your levels are fine. ESPECIALLY vegetarians and vegans. The normal B12 blood test is useless for showing what your real B12 levels actually are. Your B12 blood test levels can be normal and you can STILL be dangerously deficient in functional B12, functional B12 is the active B12 thats in a usable form the body needs.
Doctors dont know any of this. If you’re vegetarian or vegan and just follow what your doctor says then they can very easily be causing you irreversible brain damage from their incompetence. And you should be a hell of a lot more mature, responsible and educated on B12 in the first place so its your own fault as well.
You dont mess around when it comes to B12.

*Cyanocobalamin is bad for under-methylators especially if there is depressive
mental health issues, need to stay away from it.
Cyanocobalamin is only ok for over-methylators as it uses up excess methyl
groups. Can use In Bipolar and Schizophrenic Mania episodes along with Niacin
B3 which will both soak up methyl groups and lower elevated dopamine levels.
*Methylcobalamin (Methyl B12) is the active form that feeds the
    Methylation Cycle.
*Adenosylcobalamin (Adeno B12) is the active form thats needed for the
    mitochondria.
    *Hydroxlcobalamin injections, waste of time.

Thank you. I’m sleeping too much and still so tired. I definitely need to change my diet. I have Hashimotos, nodes on my thyroid and I have an Epstein Barr flare-up.

  31. Curt Rivadeneira on March 28, 2023 at 10:47 am

I went vegetarian over the pandemic. I was definitely lacking energy. I thought it was because of the lockdown. The lockdown ended and I didn’t have the energy to do anything nor the motivation. I started going to the gym to try to sleep better, have more energy, reduce stress and so on. I was so damn hungry and quickly fading. I went back on animal products. Especially sweet, sweet red meat. I feel great. My mood is great. My energy is high. Meals are far more satisfying. I don’t lose a wink of sleep. The opposite is in fact true. How ashamed I am to think that going plant based was doing myself or anyone else any favors.

Hi dr. Berg, would love to know what to do about food insensitivities that are causing fatigue… eggs / dairy are so common – why is this and how can we sort this out 😭😭😭😭

  39. Willow Ivory Karlene on March 28, 2023 at 10:55 am

I support him through and through but personally I believe that you don’t need to eat meat or any animal products in all honestly. I have really great b-vitamin count, best in my life actually. My doctor once told me since I became Vegan that they were actually CONCERNED for me for having too HIGH of iron when before I had LOW iron… the cause? I was eating much more greens such as spinach and lentils, which are both also great source of iron and more than enough if eaten consistently. There is plenty of research out there why Veganism is over all better for you and your body. Just take a moment to think about the food chain you are taught in elementary school… 😵‍💫🙃😬

Nevertheless, thank you as always for the videos! So helpful 💖
