Hi, I’m getting a Kickr Core and wanted your take on a app. I’m not into racing and not going to be doing any triathlons anymore. Only want to ride for the health benefit. I want to ride hills and different places. It seems that Swift maybe geared more for racing and you pro guys. I saw that Rouvy had routes in California and Europe. Fullgas looks good too. Really enjoying the videos. I am waiting on my first ever smart trainer, a Tacx Smart Flow. I have a MacBook Pro, old iPad, and an Android phone. The question is, will I need to purchase an Ant+ dongle to be able to use these apps, including Zwift? Or does the app use Bluetooth to connect to the trainer, while the trainer uses Ant+ to interface with my devices (Wahoo Elemnt and heart rate monitor)?
I would prefer downloadable routes so you don’t have to be online burning bandwidth riding the same routes.

Can I ask. I have home stationary bike. There is app in android BitGym which can simulate the speed of country video movement based on the camera detection of head move. No crazy hardware needed and looks well. Is there something similar on PC version to use webcam please? Are there any existing sensors solutions I can put on pedals of stationary bike to control speed of video stream where there are country cycles movies for free? Pls advice if there is some not profesional, but easy solution for this. Best I want it just for my kids to use stationary bike and watching free video on youtube, just with some simple sensor webam or pedals….to control video speed moving. Thx in advance

Rouvy, and it’s a shame you only focused on AR. Rouvy has so much more to offer and AR is only a tiny part of their incredible. platform.
Not keen on FulGaz or BKOOL I can’t pause and restart a ride in either , a must for me . Really like kinomap but can’t get it on my tv anymore lightning cables don’t work just show a QR code
Thanks so much for this video. I just got an exercise bike with BT resistance support for Kinomap and have been going through all these options to test how they compare. Sadly, only Kinomap can actually change the resistance of my DKN 2400i EMS bike. The others can mostly connect to the bike but only read the watt/RPM output. Any idea if the thing which makes it work with Kinomap is a known protocol, and if that protocol applies to other training software? I can’t imagine it’s bespoke to Kinomap, but I could be wrong. Seems weird that the bike can be adjusted via one software but nothing else. As much as I like FulGaz (when it’s not crashing), it provides me with virtually zero resistance, which never changes no matter the terrain.

To my knowledge, there is no ANT connection, currently, in Rouvy AR.

I had a Direto smart trainer and unfortunately I had to take it back because of some issues with connectivity . I did two FTP test and I lost connection both times mid way also while riding , since it needs power to work it wasn’t able to change intensity . I changed it for a tack, thanks for the reviews. do you have anything on how to create a indoor cycling studio , like what is the best computer to use, stands, mats, fans, and how to set it up. new to this like many other in times of isolation.

Will the FulGaz and other apps work with the Favero Assioma power meter pedals?
As of April 2021, the Garmin Tacx app works pretty well too.
If it doesn’t work with Bluetooth,then I don’t want to use it. I will stick to the ones that work on my Apple TV.

2) how much difference does it make to have a trainer that has a device that will lift the forks up and down to simulate elevation? what are the best trainers that have this function?
3) are there trainers/stationary bikes that also allow leaning left and right to more accurately simulate a real ride?

I stopped Rouvy…complicated setup and I had difficulty knowing if I was riding with a real person or a computer generated person. Also, it was the only app that timed out my computer every 20-30 mins.

Hi Pablo – I have so many questions but I’ll try to keep simple. Can any of these be used with any kind of exercise bike (I got the Jokoto X2). Also, which is the simpliest (I am a beginning & not concerned about price) but my question is how is it that I sync my bike to the app? Some people have said Wahoo Cadence device, some have said it’s no good and others say I don’t need it at all. Mind you, I am really not very concerned about stats such as speed, cadence, calories etc (my bike already has some kind of digitital read out on it) but what I DO want is to be able to "feel" like I am actually riding on the trails, streets, etc along with the other riders. In order words, I want a virtual experience. How do I get that? I have Windows 10 laptop and Android phone but I’ll get an Ipad if that’s what I need. Be specific if you can and thank you so much!
