Hello, I got a call from one of the contractors for C&P exam for my ongoing disability(PTSD). They said it will be a routine c&p exam. Should I be worried about them trying to take away my disability claim? What exactly is going to be as for the routine c&p?

Had my C&P exam for PTSD increase. Lasted about 20 mins. Examiner did not give me any paperwork to complete. She just said she was going to write up and send it forward. Should I be worried??? I’m nervous.

I had my c and p exam in a closet of the podiatry clinic. He looked at me…..asked me 3 questions……then terminated the exam. I ended up being approved for 100 percent disability. Not all exams are tricks. Just saying.

98% of the C&P exams I’ve been to on and off for 20 years have been negative experiences. Most examiners were not qualified and not Veterans. They misunderstood it is NOT social security disability. Big difference.
VES c&p Dr made me answer 300+ questions, many just worded differently. They try to get you there too.
So who do I speak to if I have been a victim of this type of behavior.

Sometimes you get a doctor that will lie or wont tell you that they will be reviewing you for mental issues and deny your whole claim. I asked the doctor who will be review me for mental issues and he said another doctor but it was really that guy.

I had one C & P shrink that yelled at me when I described to her my symptons .
Va is corrupt they are never there for the VEts but to funnel money to employ people who dont give a damn about Vets
My pcm and ibhc is reluctant to refer to mental health clinic to get proper diagnosis and treatment can i get dx from private practice while still in activty duty and submit that as part of medical record
Are they allowed to ask you about Alcohol use , And problems with the law ? If yes are you required to answer . I dink beer as a theraputic. and had some Dui issues . How do you deal with these questions ? Thanks

VA clinic in hawaii lied on the report for my c and p exam . sucks we cant do anything about that .
That is the type of questions i was asked in 2011 when I applied for ptsd, generalized anxiety, major depression. I answered the questions and then said I don’t understand what this test has to do with why I applied.. I never said i was intellectually disabled. Maybe I should have let my frustration show.
My psych exam is on the 11th this month, its for a personal sexual trauma and personal trauma. How can get the right boxes checked?

I had my Virtual C. & P and the Doctor. 3 days later my VA Rep called me and said the Doctor in her report said I was 100% with Depression, Anxiety, and Insomnia. He said that was very good and that he had never seen a doctor do that. What are your thoughts? Note I am at 70% for Bilateral Hip Replacement and I have lost about 75% use of my right leg due to a damaged flexor tendon from my surgery. It has caused me absolute Depression, in pain 7/24 my quality of life now at Zero. Please tell me your thoughts. Thank You.
This is very good to see, because I would refuse to take those stupid tests. I would yell at them say I have issues I want to fix, I didn’t come here to look at these damn stupid penguins.
i just had my c&p exam two hrs ago. i was not nervous. i guess i was just me. i talked like i talk to any body. i answered all the questions and it dint take more than 30 min. every thing she asked me made sense to me. i made sure to tell her before the end that i dont have minor or mild symptoms. i said i have severe symptons. not gonna make a difference probably but worth the try. how long from now will it take to get a decision.? Fast forward to jan 2021. I was awarded 70% ptsd.
my first c and p for phycoisos nos the doc said are you just for the money i flat out look at her and said no i also had my tape recorder on me so i can document everything same as the re evalautation i told the doc i was in the year 3017 while in the hospital even though that question did not come up and told her i saw robots and demons which i did even wheel chairs that had lights on the back of them more on the upper protion of the seat… what is worst everyone to seem to know i went to thailand not it was but i was not being cirminallized for it.. lol

I came here because when I go to a the psychiatrist I’m really nervous that they will say I’ve got symptoms, most importantly I go in and talk about my life work and social life , but after all that they say how is your mental health and I’m stumped because I don’t know how what to say , I get angry because I feel like saying something like if I had problems I would of told you by now , I feel like they think I’m lying, I’ve even been told that they have to ask that question even though it is basically saying you have something to hide and I want to know about it

Thanks for your videos. They really help people like me learn more about this complicated mess. Just last week I talked with a VA dr for the first time, for PTSD "interview" or whatever. She asked a series of substance abuse questions, but in the middle phrased one like this, "how old were you when you first used (whatever drug)?". I said "excuse me?" And she repeated the question the same way. I answered that I had never used drugs other than prescribed and don’t know why she would ask like that. After the video-call I felt worse than I had before. This is why we don’t ask for help, because she made me feel like I must be some kind of drug addict or alcoholic, I couldn’t just have PTSD. I am going in for my TBI at the QTC tomorrow. The doctors for headaches and PTSD both said they were recommending me for benefits. I hope I don’t get a bad Dr.

both the VA doctors and C and doctors the lie.. they just simply lie in recordsm this almost needs to be video taped or audio recorded
I just filed for an increase yesterday got a phone call today about a C&P exam sometime on the 15th-27th of this month is that a good sign? My nerves are wrecked right now, but I really need the help my benefits supplies me and my family. If I get denied though I think I’ll settle for what I have so long as it stays the same this stress really isn’t worth it, and unfortunately veterans benefits aren’t protected like they really should be.
Does VA have a rule against recording your C&P Exam?
they did that to me twice lions and tigers and bears, elephants once i answered them correctly the exam was over denied
