May God continue to bless your journey. I’m going on my second year at gcu and my student loans is $2000 less plus I have a partical scholarship

  2. Morgan Short on November 9, 2021 at 12:14 pm

I am getting ready to transfer from GCU to another college, I am not sure where I am going to go yet. But I was just wondering how was your experience with transfering credits? GCU is making me pay $32,000 to move online and they are taking my academic scholarship because I am not longer living on campus. And I just wanted to know how it worked for you? Thank you soo much!

I go to gcu too and this video is 100% accurate. I appreciate you making this video and sharing your opinion.

  4. Taylor Talford on November 9, 2021 at 12:15 pm

just came from your other video and this shows the true pros and cons I wanted to see thank you!

  5. DekuLevi 93 on November 9, 2021 at 12:15 pm

I want to got to GCU, but the payment is too expensive.

  6. Lemurai on November 9, 2021 at 12:16 pm

GCU is a scam, I gladly studied for my ACT to ensure I got into UA, GCU is not internationally recognized nor will higher end universities honor their credits. You are better off going to Ashford or DeVry.

  7. Jesse Alexander on November 9, 2021 at 12:21 pm

    Private Universities are scams

  8. Christina Vermillion on November 9, 2021 at 12:21 pm

I went there 2015 and I found out I was pregnant. It was a big to do that I wasn’t married.

  9. Heaven Rios on November 9, 2021 at 12:21 pm

    how’s the diversity

  10. Alyssa Cascos on November 9, 2021 at 12:26 pm

Awww….I totally get it! College can be pricey! I do want to go to GCU and I do have the option to go to a cheaper community college in my area but I want to have a life on my own because I don’t have the best relationship with my father. For me, it would probably be worth the loans because mentally and emotionally, life would be so much better. I would love to see more school planner videos! ❤

  11. SLICKTV on November 9, 2021 at 12:27 pm

I thought about going to ODU as well … it’s about 30 mins away

  12. randomgirltv on November 9, 2021 at 12:27 pm

I can understand missing your mom cause your so far away i am close with my mom too and the fact it’s REALLY expensive but why didn’t you apply to old dominion for your first year? What made you chose gcu?

  13. sunshinebakes on November 9, 2021 at 12:29 pm

Stay strong girl! Believe it or not, I went through the same thing, so I understand what you’re going through. I’m glad you were able to make a decision at the right time. Hopefully everything works out for you 🙂

  14. Jose Mancera on November 9, 2021 at 12:33 pm

honestly, GCU has a lot of very racist people I’m a student there and you can feel the hatred towards minorities.

  15. Dennis D on November 9, 2021 at 12:34 pm

it is IMPOSSIBLE not to make friends on any college campus. You get what you put into it. Walk the dorm halls in your wing, see an open door, walk in "Hi, I’m…I live 4 doors down, what’s your name…?" I cannot stand when people say "I couldn’t make friends". This isn’t high school and mommy isn’t there to catch you. Rant over.

  16. Babi Greene on November 9, 2021 at 12:35 pm

Hi, is the area safe to live in?

  17. Austin Platt on November 9, 2021 at 12:35 pm

I went there. It’s alright if you’re a square with no social life that doesn’t mind being treated like a kid.

  18. Keith Witherspoon on November 9, 2021 at 12:38 pm

Don’t drop out my young sister, just move to their online program. It will be more expensive at an HBCU, or ANY physical campus. Please consider Walden or Capella Universities. I wish you the best, always :), God bless.

  19. Ari on November 9, 2021 at 12:38 pm

I was recommended to transfer here because it’s was supposed to be affordable compared to California, but 30k compared to 31k is literally the same thing. Your video really helped, thank you 🙂

  20. 🍁AlyM Hope🍁 on November 9, 2021 at 12:41 pm

At the same time if you live in a dorm it’s gonna cost more money but Gcu is a a great collage in my opinion

  21. Mary Holt on November 9, 2021 at 12:41 pm

    Home🥰

  22. Luv Gospel on November 9, 2021 at 12:41 pm

So why didn’t you do that initially?

  23. The Chelsey Chronicles on November 9, 2021 at 12:42 pm

I’m doing GCU online and I’m hoping I made the right decision. I’m getting my BSW so hopefully GCU is the right school

  24. Kem Goodwin on November 9, 2021 at 12:44 pm

Are there a lot of black people in Phoenix?

  25. Tony Dorsey on November 9, 2021 at 12:44 pm

Please join the Army. You can do part time in the Army Reserves (2-days a Month). Go to a college or university of your choice full-time for free. And get up to $60,000 in student loan repayment.

  26. Austin Platt on November 9, 2021 at 12:45 pm

I did 3 to a dorm. Freaking sucks and all everyone’s sh*t just overflowed to the common area.

  27. Jasmine Gathers Anderson on November 9, 2021 at 12:45 pm

It’s good to here your experience. I just finished my sophomore year at GCU and next year I will be commuting. It is much more affordable although living on campus is great. Anyways, good luck to you and everything 🙂

  28. Michelle Marie on November 9, 2021 at 12:46 pm

Like living on campus seems nice and i can see the allure of gcu, its a huge school, it has that fun socal vibe, you have a pool, and concerts and being in a bigger city like phoenix and shopping and having warm weather pretty much year round, but i guess to lower your tuition/cost it would be better to rent an apartment close to campus with roommates but idk how commuting and parking would be and to have some sort of job lined up before moving there, but basically im assuming you have to be rich or have a lot of scholarships to enjoy going there without worrying about debt, but it definitely does seem like a fun party school with lots to do but idk the debt doesnt seem worth it to me

  29. Mike Morgan on November 9, 2021 at 12:47 pm

Good for you. Great decision for many reasons. For someone as bright and outgoing as you not to fit-in speaks volumes about the school, not you. Prospective students need to check GCU’s accreditation. They are not, last I checked, nationally accredited. If a degree is not nationally accredited, it may be worthless where you plan to work or live. A bit of research now could save you hundreds of thousands of dollars wasted on a degree that gets you immediately placed in the "not qualified" pile. Things could be different now, but make sure you get what you think your paying for. They were regionally accredited by the "Higher Learning Commission", which has been under the microscope of the Department of Educations for some time now. Be very careful in selecting schools, especially for-profit, religious, private ones.

  30. Laquera Davis on November 9, 2021 at 12:49 pm

Awww I go to GCU and I totally get what you’re saying! I wish I would’ve known you when you were on campus. I would’ve been your friend!😊

  31. Dara Swink, RN, BSN on November 9, 2021 at 12:49 pm

As a parent, I can’t believe that your parents didn’t tell you to go to a community college in the first place. I got my associated degree in nursing for $10K, I got my Bachelors at GCU online for an additional 15K. I wish you all the luck, but please research before you enroll.

  32. rose rouge on November 9, 2021 at 12:49 pm

I graduated from odu. Welcome back to Va. Yes they are cheaper!

  33. Cobalt Gears on November 9, 2021 at 12:50 pm

Question about coming to GCU! Does anyone know if social media sites like Tumblr or Instagram are accessible on campus or are they blocked? I’m headed over this weekend!

  34. DavyDave1313 on November 9, 2021 at 12:52 pm

But ok how is the school. It may be because I’m older but I really don’t care about making friends or partying. How is the curriculum and the programs

  35. Dexter Kleinrichert on November 9, 2021 at 12:52 pm

    Are there parties at GCU

  36. Lisa c on November 9, 2021 at 12:53 pm

    wow!

  37. Christopher Philpott on November 9, 2021 at 12:53 pm

How were you paying 15k a semester?

  38. J Villain on November 9, 2021 at 12:54 pm

Of coarse its a shithole scam "university". Why else would they advertise on youtube and the comments on all their videos are turned off lol.

  39. Imani Baylock-Smith on November 9, 2021 at 12:54 pm

Omg. I’m starting at GCU in the fall. I’m worried about having that social problem. I hope I can make friends 😭

  40. mikeandmars2345 on November 9, 2021 at 12:57 pm

Ok thanks for this video do what’s best for you 👍👍👍👍💯💯💯

  41. Lisa c on November 9, 2021 at 12:58 pm

not $30,000 for 1 year debt

  42. fairy on November 9, 2021 at 12:58 pm

I’m Bi so I don’t think I could ever got gcu

  43. Four 20 HighLife TV on November 9, 2021 at 12:59 pm

Damn I got my whole degree for that

  44. lark on November 9, 2021 at 1:00 pm

I am looking for an ABSN program and unfortunately the only 2 accredited programs here are at GCU and ASU. After doing research I will not even bother despite the accreditation. 👎 So after I get my prereqs I WILL have to go else elsewhere grrr. 🙄

  45. Reaianna Haley on November 9, 2021 at 1:00 pm

I think that GCU didn’t make you feel like you were family.

  46. AaantwonAntwon Pope on November 9, 2021 at 1:01 pm

You left home for a reason. $ concerns are for those with a culture of poverty!

  47. just another commentor on November 9, 2021 at 1:02 pm

Did you consider GCU online? That is what I am doing with my masters with GCU after moving back from graduating Northern Arizona University with my bachelors to Washington. My sister applied to ODU online since they are partnered with my community college I went to prior to NAU

  48. Donald Cutler on November 9, 2021 at 1:03 pm

ODU is a good school. I graduated in 2003.

  49. Paul Gonzales on November 9, 2021 at 1:05 pm

As a GCU student, I found my purpose here at this amazing school, and as much as I have found my purpose, so did you find your purpose on another path. Wish you the best My friend. Be Blessed.

  50. Lynell Sandoval on November 9, 2021 at 1:05 pm

Hi! Im attending GCU this semester, but I’m scared of something going wrong 🙁 Are your credits able to transfer?
