The Science of Yoga (Part 4 – Diet)
The Science of Yoga (Part 4 – Diet)
Yogic science concerning diet is known as Ayurveda. This video tells us about the fire in us called Agni, which is likened to a metabolic furnace. It has the potential to create Ojas, as well as Ama.

Triggered jokes aren’t funny and it just came out of nowhere, serving no purpose but to belittle people who are struggling. You’re better than that.
I have to say part 1 felt like a western water down meditation video but the second third and fourth videos were absolutely amazing and subtle and profound. I will share this video and I have subscribed. Keep up the great work
no there was a dog near by my house who always loved cream biscuits.
7 Reasons to Warm Up to Lemon Water –
In Hatha Yoga, a standard way to start the day is with a glass of warm water and the juice of half of a lemon.
Standard practice is to have this drink first thing in the morning and not eat anything for one hour afterward.
(Better, of course, if the water is very pure and the lemon is organic)

(of course, always clear everything you do with a medical professional)
Tq ….
I think you could have related the science to yoga more. A general "toxins" in fat doesn’t really give people much help. The fire analogy is fined but failed to be related to the science. You could have mentioned the science of gut bacteria influencing our health and cravings. You could call those bacteria your monsters.
Eggs aren’t healthy, they’re just as bad as pizza is
What an amazing video, thank you for the great information.
I was on board until you claimed animals like cows do not have emotions.
What a load of crap!
Cows are very emotional & strongly bonded to their calves, when they lose them they cry just as we do.
If you are non Indian… 0:23 he says AGNI not AGONY
Also animals can have emotional cravings. We had to leave first our pets behind when we moved from one country to another. In that year they were taking care of a cousin. Only one of our pets did not get along with the other pets in the house. So she kept our pets in her room. Now one of our cats has a weight problem and at nights miause a lot. She’d eat also our other cat’s food. She doesn’t like to be left alone. So, I’d say: pets can also have emotional cravings.
Science should check that out too 😉
I’ve seen overweight cats. Oh boy… humans.
But pizza doesn’t have to be bad. We here have very healthy ones, especially the vegetarian pizza’s.
Lmao the triggered rhino
I watched this video again .Amazing THANK YOU
Grateful.
💐🙏😇🕉💖
👍👍
Aspiring yogi
it’s URJA not OJAS
URJA means the energy in the body, basically produced from the food we eat.
It’s pronounce( Udge NI) not agony
Narrated by Peter Dinklage ??
Triggered Rhino was amazing 😂
Eggs is not considered part of the sattvik food category.
Subscribe for a male perspective on human health 😂
Quit throwing steaks into the Ama category 😩
Watching this while having watermelon
if you want true spirituality go to Hare Krishnas. this people are true saints they never eat meat, never drink or smoke, get up before 4 a.m. in the morning and even have sex only to give birth to children. And they use all their money to print books and serve free feasts for everyone.
Yes. I’ve eaten Sattvic (completely raw living foods for 1.5 years now and it’s changed everything). Great video.
Hello, that’s a great video. I have a request to make: Would you allow me to use your animation for an education video for my yoga students? I would like to use this animation along with a modified VO of my own for teaching about healthy eating habits to my students. It’s for non profit and strictly for education purpose.
Where’s the science?
"Have you ever seen an overweight cow?" Yes
Please be mindful when watching this as eggplant, tomatoes and bell peppers are all rajasic and eggs are tamasic and not sattvic as shown in this video.
Animals can have cravings! And Hippos are very likely to get depressions… As ervery animal how is put apart of his group.
They showed egg as a Sattvic food, wtf??
The depressed rhino was kinda a bad example as rhinos are notorious for being depressed, especially when they become separated. Still loved the video though!
Are there any scientific proof for agni.
Basically agni is being used as a word for metabolism concept it resembles that alot.
Pizza if vegetarian is sattvic
Can you upload these vision in hindi . It would more for me and other’s.
ıts NOT only humans that have emotional cravings, a monkey can die from mourning and also if less food makes agni weaker that means all animals can feel the effect of it . emotions has similliar paths with other animals ıt is just in a greather way for us…
where’s the science though?
This is the best advice I’ve heard about food and diet ever! Sometimes it’s difficult to just listen to our bodies when it comes to food, and I’m struggling with an obsession for what I eat or what I should eat. But, yes, I know, I have to listen to my body. Your words are just what I needed , recently I have found this course of yoga burning diet , it was amazing and the result was great and I advice your follower to take it ..THANK YOU

aren’t most cows overweight???
WTF kind of pseudoscience bullshit is this. I love yoga, but everything in this video series is completely made up by a bunch of ancient mystics who had no conception of modern science.
It’s only humans who have emotional cravings?….uhhhhh, no…
Ojas means chyme
Ama means cholesterol
Agni means the power of digestion
Vegan diet please. 💚
SJW rhino! 😂 😂😂Fucking dead…
Where’s the science though?
