$30 isn’t very much money..That’s like one pack of chicken and a very small amount of fruit or vegetables..
apparently i was given a benefits card and wasnt told of what i could or couldnt buy on the food part, they didnt even bother to give me a list, so apparently you cant buy canned veggies, canned fruit, or anything like that, and they wont let you buy whole meat like a whole chuck roast or whole pork loin, so what’s really the deal of them giving you this card anyway, if it’s not going to work? i even tried to buy a dozen eggs and a gallon of milk with this and it didnt want to pay for this. sounds like a ripoff to me.
Would’ve been helpful had your told us how much is too much to qualify. Like say like my grandmother makes $2100/mo and has Medicare and Humana as a supplemental policy. Should she call Medicare or Humana to see if she qualifies? And what did you mean “it popped up for your brother as a benefit”. Where does it pop up? Thanks

I have $25 left on the card amd just went to Walmart to buy milk and food and when i swipe the card it said “ not eligible for this purchase”. And we have use the card to buy milk before 😕
Humana has a plan that offers $175.00. You can use it for fruits, veg, meats I believe milk, eggs, cheese etc… then you can buy drug store items tylenol cough meds bandaid and things like that. If you need a brace or like ace bandage I think it can buy a tens unit all kinds of things. But you can get help with rent and utilities use it a gym’s. I was just approved for this but I haven’t received my package yet with all the details. Benefits start in Feb.

This benefit thru United Healthcare really was a game changer for me. What I get is much higher than the range you mentioned, and going up another $30 in January. It pays for about 40% (maybe more) of my food, and my health has improved greatly since I’ve been able to afford to eat a lot of meat and organic eggs now.

Have UHC U card. I just paid my light bill and have plenty left to get groceries. I’m on medicare and Medicaid, and i get SSDI. I get $115 spending allowance, something like that.

I have heard of a thing like that also. It even pays some of the utilities like internet, electricity and gas or water and sewage. It doesn’t cover everything, there is just not enough there for that unless you are one of those lucky people who has super low utility costs. I have heard that the amount is $100 for such utilities and while that might not be much at all it is better than nothing. I know some people have a hard time paying their bills sadly and it can be stressful for them.

I am a participant and it is a good card to help. However, grocery stores do not have the products marked as a OTC/health products participating in the program. As you know one product has different oz, etc.
Each store has his own brand.
Will be easier for elder and disable people if the plans/ programs have a list of the items/brand you can buy. I have called UHC and many of the member representatives do not know the program very well. Same with many of the employees at Walmart. 😬🙄😫
I went to Kroger me and cashier had call Humana and go down list they don’t have a basic list , it let me buy chocolate milk, whole milk, egge, bacon ,but had put sausage back and 5 lbs sugar put back covered hotdogs ,my total was $128 and Humana paid like $77 and I didn’t have enough cash get rest without a list impossible to know what they paid for so didn’t know what put back and. What to keep Humana said they don’t even have a list my first month getting this I get $150 monthly just in time cause EBT went down from $170 to about $128 after cola, I have 0 copay 0 deductible started February and there paying me to have insurance it’s unreal be glad when oranges and grapefruits are in season you can’t buy cokes ,or I’ve cream but EBT u can I swipe my visa Humana card first then EBT pays balance helps cause toilet paper and paper towels even roach hotel was covered seasoning real butter,I make homemade biscuits use butter milk and shredded frozen butter to go in my doe 4 the batch gonna do cornbread soon when warms up making me spot outside I can make doe roll. It out cause I get flour everywhere on floor I shrink wrap table still big mess in end I hope I can get this every month not sure if pays cell phone or if it buy propane for cooking says bill pay have get back on that , enjoyed video thanks!😃🙏🙏
