Really needed this! Awesome vid
I used WooPep diet website handbooks for that.
For diet and lifestyle approaches people should also look at George Jelinek’s Overcoming MS program. It looks at Swank’s work and other research since that time. It eliminates the dairy, meat, and adds in the flaxseed and vitamin D. This video is a good starting point, but there is more information out there.
Have had MS for 33 years. Have followed the Swank diet for nearly the whole time. Can no longer drive but can walk around the house with my walker. Lots of supplements including 6K of D and flaxseed oil and B12. Research all!
Sugar, high salt foods, and sulfates are my triggers for nerve pain. Dairy and gluten also cause me inflation so I have cut those out. If I cheat, I pay for it!
I could listen to Judy talk all day long.
>doesn’t eat as many sweets
>eats a lot of fruits

I want a book like that of corinne Robinson. Actually I graduated as a bs food n nutrition graduate but in ms programme a teacher had a religious grudge with me n she managed to ensure that I wasn’t enrolled in Ms program. Unfortunately I had to change my majors in the last two important years of my career building. I need to know about some books that are taught in masters programs.
Caffeine is bad for MS? even with 2 cups a day?

This is a great video. I’ve been on the Swank MS Diet for 22 years and am still fully mobile and active due to its great low fat program. My main struggle is with a chronic migraine condition that came at onset of diagnosis. The Swank diet is very diet friendly – gluten and fat free dairy allowed, also legume allowed. 15 grams maximum saturated fat a day and up to 50 grams unsaturated fat a day. Reading The Multiple Sclerosis Diet Book by Dr. Roy Swank in 1993 really changed my life.
Eating proper carbohydrates, for me at least, helps my fatigue and the crippling loss of energy I was facing before. Cutting carbohydrates completely is never a good idea. Natural carbohydrates are really good for your body; it’s the refined sugars that are very bad for you. Lot’s of fruits and vegetables provide your body with healthy sources of carbs. A lot of fruits and vegetables also have great anti-inflammatory properties, which is great for MS. I think eating food with ‘good’ fats is also necessary. Poly and Mono-unsaturated fats help your body absorb the vitamins and carotenoids in a lot of the fruits and vegetables. Avoid the saturated fats in a lot of junk food. Also, avoid high sodium! It cause inflammation. I feel we will see in the future, when more data from studies are available, that diet plays a huge roll in managing MS. I believe our diet is vital to our health and a good diet can help your body fight and stay healthy and strong against a whole host of diseases. I had a horrible diet for many years, but this past year i have taken my diet seriously and feel 1,000,000 times better after losing around 50 lbs.
I could swear I’ve dropped at least two pants sizes in less than two months thanks to this Weight Loss Green Store Tea. Easy is almost an understatement, I hardly even notice I’m doing anything differently. All I know is I’m not starving all the time and I’m not a big bundle of nerves. I’m calm, cool, and collected even though I eat like a bird.
