but pores do shrink tho lmao, i use shrinking serum and it works.
I’m not doubting anything she’s saying, but what I don’t understand is how the sun (which has been there for the human race’s entire existence) is so damaging that not wearing sunscreen can be life threatening. Has something changed over the past 100 years or so to make the sun more harmful to us? Or were humans always afflicted with skin cancer from the sun and we just didn’t have a name or diagnosis for it? I’m sure she is correct (my grandfather got a benine skin cancer on his nose, my grandmother said he never wore sunscreen on his face), I just don’t understand how something that we should have evolved to be resistant to after millennium of existence can still kill us.
I love how everyone today says everything is racist.
just because maybe we are trained here in the west to detect skin cancer in white people and most of the studies are on white people, and most of the population is white, so there are more examples of White people getting Skin cancer.
doesn’t mean it’s "Racist"
Racism is a term used very loosely. simply if the tone of your skin is a factor. then that must mean it’s Racist.
how is it believing that White are superior to Black when you are talking about skin cancer. and black patients getting diagnosed at a more advanced level.
how is it discrimination or Prejudice against black people or Hispanics?
we need a more popular term used when simply Race or Skin complexion is a factor.
Racism doesn’t fit the criteria.
sidenote: most of the population is white in Europe and North America.
half of the world population is Asian and Middle Eastern(including India).
in the world, white people are only 8-10% of the world population.
What i want to know is if a black person sleeps in the sun 1-2 days a week, how much vitamin d do they make ? It seems that it would be enough for them to get what they need without burning since tanning is a sign of protection or defense as you suggest.
Can anyone tell me about ice myth?? Like people say if we use ice on our skin then the skin will form pores
Oh, I really like this series,"Body Content with Dr. Jen Gunter".I hope the series has more useful videos.
If your skin uses it own defence mechanism I would not say it is damaged.
Vitamin D is produced from the sun yet we are told to cover up with tons of sunscreen. She said vitamin D is essential for health. We have a vitamin D deficiency epidemic. You are not making vitamin D when you are blocking out UV A and B. Just think about that. How does any of this make sense?
Ah yes, rahcism is what’s causing skin cancer.
Keep beating that drum until nobody can hear it because they’re deaf from it.
Thing were really rough for me and my family before I follow the platform above☝️☝️☝️☝️life is good now because I am making a lot of profit mine with them
Let’s talk sunscreen when you don’t leave the house…
I like her intonation
When she talked about race in the medical field, 👌🏾. I don’t understand why we can’t help out one another despite our differences?
Somebody suggest a good sunscreen for oily skin.. that men uses …
Is it just me or does she look like the older version of Lesley Winkle?
Seems like an advertisement to Sunscreen.

Usually I use a face moisturizer with SPF30 in the morning, but does it mean we should reapply face product with SPF 30 throughout the day?
l recommended a professional broker to you guys sometime ago, can I get person who invested with her

let’s gooooo
what’s the boundary between getting some sun exposure to get vitamine d and not getting too much of it? sometimes when I go jogging in the morning, I put sunscreen on my face and shoulders only, when it’s early so I can get some vitamine d between 7 and 8 am. But if I go later, I put sunscreen all over my body. Am I doing right?
There’s something sexual about this woman
Great video! This is so informative.
I am very glad that there are subtitles in Sorani but I would also be glad to see subtitles in Russian
I feel like when people talk about the relationship between chocolate and acne they ignore the probable culprit, sugar. (Obviously some chocolates have little to no sugar but the popular ones are very sweet.) I’m no scientist but if I eat something with a lot of added sugar like a frosted slice of cake I will definitely get pimples on my cheeks and chin especially.
How to take care, you didn’t talk about that.
I feel like me getting skin cancer is not a question of if, but when.
Which is why I go check my skin every year at the doc. I rather not die of skin cancer when it can be easily detected and removed before it’s too late

More like a sunscreen advertisement
You really the GOAT! Thank you 🙏🏽
add Ukrainian subtitles, please
I think the whole video was awesome except the part where she said black people get skin cancer more than white people because of racism, how does that make sense?
Sun exposure does NOT cause skin cancer!!!! Stop telling people this. Poor diet is the culprit and you don’t need MEDICINE to fix it.
Disappointed at the "higher rates of skin cancer in Hispanic and Black people is the result of racism". I highly doubt that there is a conclusive correlation. It’s more likely that there are other factors such as awareness of skin cancer and regular check-ups/ early diagnosis of spots within those communities is less than in other communitues. I’d prefer if the script was neutral and just said "certain ethnicities have higher incidents, so more regular check-ins are recommended".
Quack
i want soft baby skin 😔
The ancient author structurally bounce because bait literally sneeze around a poor snowboarding. plain, scared sponge
Please provide information on which sunscreens to buy & which ones cause cancer? I have a big box of Johnson & Johnson sunscreens with Benzo……… must be a chemist to know but recent scare said caused cancer. Brand name Banana boat does not have this “ cancer causing chemical” as alleged recently.
Came for a lesson on skin, got a lesson in social justice shoved down my throat.
Are there any tanned folks here or I’m I the only one?
It is not racist for a doctor to have more experience with white patients in a white majority. Not all minorities are underserved by the medical system. These blanket statements are wrong to be making out of fear of offending someone.
Does she realize that sunscreen hampers the skin’s ability to make vitamin D?
My genetics are such that tomorrow, I can grow one single pimple on my lower cheek , usually the left one, if I eat excessive chocolate today. No other foods can cause this in me. Just an excess of chocolate in one consumption. I don’t touch or pick at it, it disappears after 24-48 hours. like clockwork.
I want to ONLY see videos like this related to skincare, health, fitness, etc!
Myth #1 Black & Hispanic patients are more likely to have skin cancer detected at advanced stages A. because of RACISM. The reason for high mortality in the non-white population is that in most forms of skin cancer, symptoms are not easily visible and it becomes too late before cancer is diagnosed (Pipitone et al., 2002). Early signs of melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer in people of color are shown up in unusual places such as the palms and soles, fingernails and toenails, and the inner surface of the mouth and genitals and so are missed most of the time (Madankumar et al., 2016). Further, studies revealed that people of color (POC) receive little or no education from their doctors concerning the risks and prevention of the disease (Kim et al., 2009b). People of color do not understand their risk for skin cancer as the false belief that darker skin is protected from the sun’s harmful rays is the main contributing factor in these delays making skin cancers often advanced and potentially fatal (Hansen, 2014; Jacobsen et al., 2016).
